Film breakdown of the Chiefs and why they played well against the Lions offense

  1. I think it was quite evident the Lions were missing an outside receiver. The best receiver is Amon ra but with him bracketed, there were only a few times where the other receivers beat their one on ones. This is why the asterisk is stupid. Even if Jamo doesn’t live up to his potential, they would have to double Jamo instead of St Brown at times because of his speed. Jamo isn’t nearly as good as Kelce, but he still has a huge role in this offense bc he was supposed to replace DJ Chark. The offense with Chark last year was so much better than without. Chark wasn’t really productive but the threat of a deep threat made a big difference. So I think these first 6 weeks will be closer to an average offense than what we ended the season on last year. But as everyone develops and Jamo gets back, the offense is gonna explode.

  2. Teams like Seattle will definitely be studying the shit out of this film on how to slow us down.

  3. Part of this was a fair amount of the offensive struggles due to missed timing by Goff/WRs and WR drops. Which is not unexpected for the first game of the season. It’s also not like the chiefs completely bottled up the lions offense, the lions had 250 passing and over 100 running yards. There were some key self inflicted mistakes that stalled some of the drives. As MCDC said “there’s a lot to clean up”.

  4. I mean, they had 375+ yards of total offense and won, with a turnover in the redzone. They weren’t great but they were good enough. I can’t say I’m worried about it

  5. Imagine trying to put an asterisk on a win in arrowhead against mahomes and Reid. When they haven’t lost in week 1 since 2014. And they haven’t lost to an NFC team in like 16 games. And their RT is allowed to false start on 63 plays. And hold on 57% of the plays.

  6. Moral of the story: We need Jamo, and Marvin needs to be able to catch and hold on to the ball. People are aware of ARSB.

  7. Lions offensive philosophy is very interesting. Established the run between the tackles to get the linebacker to pinch, then sweeps and slants to exploit the weakness and separation in the second level.

  8. Mike evans is on the table, this is absolutely a time to trade for him , imagine Jamo sun And Evans
