[Sullivan] Sammy Sosa: Will former star enter Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame?
September 10, 2023
It’s a joke that convicted felon Mark Grace is being honored while Sammy is still exiled. Get over it, Ricketts.

Should he, yes. Will he, no.
Sammy Sosa walked out of the clubhouse and left the stadium before the game was over…that’s how he left the fans and that’s why I spend zero time thinking of him.
Sammy Sosa was my favorite player as a kid, I know his exit out of the org wasn’t good but that man made me love the Cubs and Baseball so much so I will always be a fan of Sammy
Baseball was better with steroids.
It’s been almost 20 years since BoomBoxGate. I’m over it, and hope they bring him home.
Bring Sammy home.
This is a massive embarrassment for the organization. And the loser Tom Ricketts.
Watching it now and man I loved that 1989 Boys of Zimmer team. Such a fun team. Grace was a monster against San Fran.
Fuck Sosa he’s a cheater.
Grace catching strays over here.
No clue what ownership has against Sammy but it’s long past time to bury it. It’s embarrassing that the Cubs still hold this grudge
It seems kind of crazy to me that him leaving a game early is enough of a reason for people to want to leave him out. Like any person in the stands hasn’t made a dumb mistake out of poor emotional decisions.
The organization wants him to humble himself to give them the means of bringing him back into the fold so they can do it without any controversy about making that decision without his contrition. They need him to make their decision easier, which is pretty cowardly. Or, they could just bring him back and show some backbone, eat any momentary bad things the writers would write and by the next weekend everyone moves on with their lives.
Sosa is who he is, and it’s acceptable. He took some steroids, he was a bit of a princess but the trade off was he was responsible for one of the most meaningful times in the Cubs history. It’s not that hard to show a little forbearance and give the man his day. It’s not like we have to build a statue. He’s one of us either way, whether we keep him on the sidelines or not.
The whole hall of fame system Is broken in baseball …. When Sammy and the other 108”random” tests were given steroids were not illegal in baseball …. Also hypothetically Sammy did steroids in his home country they were not illegal there either ….
So what crime did he and the others commit …. It was not Illegal and he never tested positive during his career minus the “random “ 108 players in Mitchel report that was never meant to Go public …. I still believe the writers are idiots … steroids don’t make u that much better maybe 1% , listen to my math …. U have to train daily hardcore practice daily hardcore to even be in the langue to start with …. You have to have the perfect diet doctors trainers etc …. So will power and all the other factors make u a mlb player ….. if steroids give u a 1-4% , would you not still hit home runs …. The writers act as though steroids do 99% of the hard work … most writers have never been tot he gyms Do they don’t know how hard it is to build mass
NO, we should not allow PED induced players and thier corked bats.
(ready for your downvotes, the truth hurts)
My favorite Cub as a kid, and it wasn’t even close. I’d just moved to Chicago from Boston the year before and quickly dropped my Red Sox loyalty. Got to meet him at the 98 Cubs convention and was lucky enough to attend his 61/62 game, my only game I went to that year. I’d never freaked out in a crowd before that day, awesome experience and memory.
