8. The people that make the excuse USA would have won if they had their "A" team are probably the same people who used to brag that USA could easily win if they brought a B or C team!! 9. First, credit to both teams for both of them being professional and making a real effort , rather than being indifferent . Second, it is nice to see Dillion Brooks have scoring success in the tournament which is effecitively a return to his college years and the first few years of his NBA career. I am not sure if it will continue with respect to the NBA ( as FIBA is a different game) but happy for him. Given the number of teams that wil be getting reinforcements it should be a very competitive Olympics . I personally do not believe that most the top older American NBA will play as they have won Gold and had the Olympic experince so "been there done that" especially after a grueling season. The main additions will likely be Booker and Tatum but the addition of Booker effectively will eliminate minutes for Edwards . Because of the difference between the Fiba rules, officiating , and coaching (strategy) while the Americans woould be the favorite if I had to place a nominal bet I woultd take the field .
