Proud to say I was NEVER someone who ever doubted him
I was pretty doubtful of the kid based on the small sample size last season. That said, his AHL numbers made it clear that he had real potential.
Glad to see he’s put in weight and just looks so much better out there. Excited to see where his career goes!
I always liked him
Other: I got annoyed with that Tony from the Hockey Wilderness blog guy for constantly crying about the team’s development choices on his behalf.
I really doubted him, thought he was Tyson Jost v2.0
Missed box: a fan base so annoyingly beating the war drum to be 1st line center when he wasn’t even NHL ready
Honestly never doubted him. Too much intelligence and work ethic in his game to not make it work, plus myocarditis took all of 2 years to come back from
I’ve never been happier to admit that I was wrong.
I never did any of the above.
He’s on pace for 36 points, (9 games, 3 goals, 1 assist = 27 goals, 9 assists). He’s scoring goals – and in time hopefully assists will come. He’s been productive, but I don’t think anyone being concerned about Rossi is wrong. He still has a massive hill to climb and many, many pegged him as a blue chip, franchise saving center.
I’m just happy he’s doing well. Losing a year of development was a big blow but he seems to be coming out on the other side of it.
