3. Today on 11/28 the Wild had the third best odds of drafting 1OA at 11.5%.

   Personally predict this will be the closest they ever get to doing so in my lifetime. The Wild will happily or unhappily (depending on your perspective) probably begin a march up the standings to somewhere around the 7th or 8th playoff seed.

   At least wrt to tonight, the betting market seems to agree as the Wild are a strong favorite over the Blues.

7. What’s funny is how, if you told me when the buyout happened that we’d be in a lottery pick position during one of our cap hell years, I’d have said, “huh, fair enough, that makes sense. Guess we use those years to build for what comes after.”

   It’s only because he keeps insisting that we can somehow be a contender while everyone gets to spend $15M more, and started shuffling the coaching deck chairs, that Guerin is under so much scrutiny. He (and Leopold FFS) needs to learn a bit about managing expectations.
