Sweet Lou from the Soo has been the voice of the High School boys hockey tournament for 60 years, including the years he was playing for and managing the North Stars. I’ll miss hearing him on the broadcasts.
He got better with age.
Any news on his replacement? I think Ryan Carter or Mark Parrish would be good candidates. Both Minnesota boys, both vets of the tourney, both have broadcast experience at this point.
Someone call Zach Halverson!
One of the great joys of my life was hearing him talk about my team in as positive a way as possible while we got smoked by Bloomington Jefferson.
Lou is hockey royalty and when we get our hockey Rushmore he best be on it.
