The intensity of my text was just for silly fun. But I back this team. We have had so many moments with the Wild where “just wait, the prospects coming up will take us to another level.” But this time it actually feels real. With Khusnutdinov, Yurov, Ohgren, Heidt, Lambos, Wallstedt, and others (still hoping Adam Beckman can translate.) I think us Wild fans have a lot to hope for. Next year feels like a year of transitioning away from some of the veterans and bringing in prospects. And then the following year Parise and Suter come off the books. Allowing us to sign some big names if available. Pairing that with highly regarded prospects and mixing that in with the likes of Kaprizov, Boldy, Rossi, Faber etc can make for a very competitive team.
The time is now my friends. We need to support this team and the direction Billy G is taking us. We might be on the verge of something elite.
