[Seravalli] Here is the video of #mnwild Ryan Hartman throwing his stick toward the officials on Saturday night, which earned him a three game suspension for unsportsmanlike conduct. @NHLPlayerSafety said Hartman was also inappropriately verbally berating officials.

  1. I’m not saying Hartman should’ve thrown his stick, but it’s quite frankly embarrassing how much this league refuses to show any accountability for their horrible officiating.

  2. The officials were inappropriately officiating the game. Where’s their punishment?

  3. Dont miss a blatant call in the final minute of a tied game and a stick wont get thrown your way. Fucking joke of a league

  4. Really stupid but still an overreaction from the league. r/hockey loving it. Making hartman out as something he isnt

  5. Two minds on this one. On the one hand, Hartman you dumbass. You’ve already been suspended a bunch for really unnecessary stupid shit. Pull a no brain move like this after you’re barely back from..*checks notes*…slapping Perfetti in the face with your stick because someone else hurt Kaprizov.

On the other…god that’s a soft thing to suspend someone 3 games for. One of the worst officiated games I’ve seen this season and these refs have the audacity to leave the building screaming “oh no, my feelings!”

  6. Hartman needs to do his job and not throw stick at people who aren’t doing their jobs. He needs to atleast make contact.

  7. That wasn’t really “at the official”, at least not with any chance of actually hitting him, but yeah throwing your stick at any point isn’t the play. Especially after the game’s over. Is what it is.

  8. This is like if when a baseball manager grabs a base from the field and throws it generically towards the mound, you accuse him of throwing a base at the opposing pitcher. Still a bone head move but come on…

  9. Didn’t Seattle have a Similar incident against the knights that resulted in stick throwing after the game that coincidently was won by Vegas in ot

  10. Honestly, Hartman is like a less talented Marchand. If he wasn’t on the Wild I would actively root against him.

  11. I get why he’s pissed, but the dude is just not talented enough to be such a fuckin’ bonehead.

It’s probably confirmation bias, but I feel like he has more stupid ass penalties at bad times than he has points on the season.

  12. The suspension is fair. Now can we get some accountability for the horrible officiating?

  13. How can you not love the edge and passion he plays with? So what if he loses his mind every now and then… he seems like a good guy and he has never crossed any lines fully into Marchand/Wilson territory.

Also, sign me up for 3 meaningless games where we can see someone younger get more minutes because of the suspension

  14. he was just testing it’s durability he didn’t throw it he just placed it on the other side of the rink because he thought it should be with it’s family

  15. Suspension deserved but can’t be mad about his passion for the game and wanting to win. Someone’s gotta knock some sense into these refs

  16. I’ll wait until the Leafs or Rangers lose a playoff series on one of these bad calls in front of God and everybody. Only when one of the league’s prized pigs is shafted will they do anything to fix it.
