The Texans traded a second round pick for one year of Diggs?! That feels like a bad deal for them. Makes locking Sneed up for several years for just a third look that much better! Titan Up!

Yeah, but they aren’t on the hook for his contract if he shits the bed.
2nd rounder seemed expensive for a 1 year rental but this move makes him play harder this year hopefully since he wants to cash in on another deal somewhere
This actually seems like a pretty smart from Caseiro given how bad Diggs was down last years stretch and how he likely doesnt get the same amount of targets he is used to in that crowded WR room.
Seems like a great deal to me by the Texans. They are all in and they got a really good WR to go to an already good WR room.
Can’t say I expected that. I mean, they’re going to have to pay Nico Collins after this season, so I can understand not wanting two super-expensive WRs on the roster. Giving up a 2nd for a one-year rental on Diggs feels a bit expensive. But then again, the Texans have a lot of very young very talented players, so the value of a second round pick to their team isn’t the same as the value of a 2nd round pick to someone like the Titans.
They remembered Sneed is in the division now and didn’t want to pay Diggs long term to get clamped twice a year.
I wouldn’t say a bad deal. It gives them the chance to let him go if he sucks and they aren’t stuck with him.
Diggs played poorly in the later half of the season. We will see what Version of him plays for them.
If he plays good theyll pay him and he will want to stay, if he doesnt play good they can just call it at that and say “hey we tried”. Its honestly an annoyingly good deal
How are people saying this is a good deal???? You give up a 2nd rounder for one year?? If he sucks okay you get to get rid of him but now you lost a SECOND ROUNDER.. If he does good then now you gotta compete with other teams to resign him.. not a good deal to me
Texans really buying into their own hype after one season aren’t they? This is move a team believing they are Super Bowl contenders make.
Nice so he’ll be older next year and we can sign him. He fits the mold.
Texans GM has worms in his brain
We traded a 2nd for Julio. Although I guess our plan was to keep him longer, still feel like both trades were horrible in hindsight
Definitely think it’s a weird decision to bring in a diva WR with a history of ruffling feathers and by wiping out the contract, put him in a position where he’s going to want to stat-pad. Not sure how that’s gonna work out when he has a couple weeks in a row where he’s getting like 4-5 targets a game.
Still better than being left on the hook for dead cap if he continues to decline like Julio.
In any case, this is the year that they go all in with this room before contracts start to hit with Nico Collins leading the way. Let’s keep our heads down and keep building our own window.
