Wow this is a lot earlier than I expected. It worked out well for the team the last times we called someone up from AA
IT’S FUCKING HAPPENING GET IN HERE!!!!!
He’ll be the best Spencer S. pitcher in franchise history
Dang, so just said fuck Gwinnett, get him to the show
Just talking about this obliquely yesterday, absolutely didn’t expect it before the ASB though.
That’s quite quick and really surprising but I like this a lot
His control is good and the stuff got swings and misses at a surprising rate in AA, and if the fastball command holds it’ll at least not get crushed and can help his other 4 pitches play up. His velo has held at 95-97 basically for whole 6-7 inning outings and hasn’t shown a drop. All that success has come despite the Braves limiting the usage of his slider (his best pitch)
It’s a very interesting experiment considering how green he is but damn it if we don’t have anyone else that’s better equipped
Gotta see if we have an arm before trading for one I guess, but two starts and come on up is wild.
How is it that the Braves beat writers never break news like this hahahaha
All I read was Spencer S is gonna be in the braves’ rotation!
I guess we are sending Ker down or is someone going on a phantom IL split?
I honestly didn’t expect Schwellenbach to get a call up before Nacho
Suppose they are shopping trade bait?
For perspective, Kel was at one point the No. 3 prospect in ALL of baseball (not just one organization)
In AA We Trust.
I’m digging the call-up. We need to do something aggressive to shake the team out of its doldrums. Hopefully, he will shove.
Oh man that is WILD!! I thought for sure we would see Hurston before him but it makes sense based on his age I guess. I hope this just pushes him to be even better, he’s been awesome this year so far in AA.

[Here’s a good pod](https://open.spotify.com/episode/428dj2QHntRubNGyGCVr8a?si=NDWT7iHXT3e0hXxoW0-h0A) I listened to recently that talks about his stuff for those wondering what he brings to the table
