Of course the “remaining” rankings will change as teams go on streaks (good & bad.) But the “so far” column is booked and we’ve done well. Here’s hoping we can improve hitting at home and improve our bullpen depth and capitalize on an easier strength of schedule going forward.

  1. Tough to say if this actually favors them when they seem to play best against good teams not named the Phillies. The Padres don’t seem to care about conventional wisdom.

  2. How many games at home? That’s all that seems to matter because they are a different team on the road.

  3. Idk, any team can win any series and some teams just get hot. Look at the Cards at the moment. That was a barn burner of a game today with Philly. Pirates can be nasty as well in spurts w that rotation front end. Then there is our division which is scrappy af.

Imo, relying on “schedule strength” with a lot of teams in the 500 club doesn’t mean much. Not to mention we are down two front end starters.

And don’t get me wrong, it’s an awesome fun season so far yet don’t fall for that fallacy. No game is an easy win in this league.
