The schedule for the Finals.

  1. NHL knows exactly how to grow the game. Awful ESPN broadcast and Game 7 on a Monday night.

  2. I also hate the 8:00 starts because I end up missing the 3rd period on work nights.

  3. I know it’s a final and the distance between the teams is far but a Sunday matinee is peak sports on tv watching imo

  4. This feels very spread out which I don’t like but I understand it’s probably due to travel distance

  5. ESPN is terrible, did they work in conjunction with the NHL to make this awful schedule

  6. It’ll be a fun series even though my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

  7. Oilers win in Edmonton on summer solstice Game 6. Sun will still be up when the game ends …

  8. Just curious but do some of you do for work that you can’t stay up on a little bit on a week night? If the games don’t go into marathon OTs it shouldn’t be terribly late.

Also, why are some people talking about Game 7 as though it’s guaranteed to go the full distance?
A few years ago when TB won in 2021, the Finals went into July and nobody complained about that. Why is a hypothetical June 24 so bad?

  9. Is the asterisk and “if necessary” really necessary? Does anyone on this planet not know how a best-of-seven series works? Or is this one of those “legal department says we have to” things like telling people not to drink paint?

  10. I know people are complaining but there’s zero overlap with the NBA finals schedule. For those of us who want to watch both this is great.

  11. I don’t remember the playoffs going on until late June. Did they spread the games out more than usual or something?
