What would a Martin Necas trade package look like for the Chicago Blackhawks? | CHGO Blackhawks

if you’re going to get an HZ it’s going to cost a lot it’s not going to be Lucas reel Conor Murphy and a fifth round pick you know that we that we it’s going to be one of those young defenseman prospects Del Mastro Allan Kaiser one of those guys Pro is going to have to be part of that MH probably the 18th overall pick and then some maybe yeah that’s where the conversation begins maybe in second rounder this year or next year or a third rounder or both it’s going to be costly the H the Hurricanes want people who can help them now right and the Blackhawks really don’t have that I think bejan brings up C I feel like kosev would have to be part of it too I’d be willing to do that which which is like yeah like NIS is an upgrade in theory over Kev but also it’d be nice to have both of them right and I think Kev even at his at his best can still be part of the team moving forward moving beyond the rebuild I think he’s I think he can do that um so yeah I mean if he can be a part of it and they get nous that’d be great but I think it you know making that kind of trade might involve him and as we said we really like Philip kerev a lot yeah but Philip KV isn’t a Topline Winger on a legit Stanley Cup Contender he’s a third liner uh maybe second he’s a middle six guy not a Top Line guy yeah NZ to me could be that Topline guy um if it cost Kev and one of the defenseman and 18 I’m willing to pay that price and as far as what market value is I mean it’s not technically going to be uh an extension um but you know I mean he’s an RFA but whatever I mean it’s going to probably be a six or seven year contract you know yeah six and a half to seven per sounds about right 6year 30 8 million deal he’s 25 he’s 25 see I’d rather do six years 38 million for a 25y old Marty NZ then a six-year but I think is he going to want to do that because now you think if he’s getting to that next contract at 31 32 guys don’t want to be ufas at that age they’d rather be a you know get to that UFA at 28 29 now is he going to do a four-year contract who knows but I think you know two-way street here players got to have a a say in it too right I and that makes sense but would you rather as a player would you rather have the security of two extra years guaranteed or you know what if he signs the four and then Carolina was right about him and he’s not the player they thought he was then then you’re not getting now you gambled on yourself so we’ll see um but NES checks a lot of boxes he has size he scores um you know and it seems like he’s he’s determined to prove that he’s more than he’s shown in in Carolina which is you know encouraging get a guy like that that’s coming into this this team and wanting to you know prove his worth he’s not like a guy that’s just like I’m just trying to get the bag and you know post like he’s he’s going out to show like I want to be a top six guy I want to be a power play one guy um well he’ll get that chance here doubt [Music] definitely like the May

The Chicago Blackhawks have been linked as trade partners for Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas. If Kyle Davidson were to pull off the deal, what kind of a package would it take? Jay Zawaski, Greg Boysen and Mario Tirabassi break it down in this clip from the CHGO Blackhawks Podcast.
