  1. If Edmonton lose… McD still is the Conn Smythe at this point, isn’t he?

  2. 42 now. 5 points away from tying the record with 2 games max left to play. If it was anyone else i would say no way he can reach it but its McDavid and he just had 4 points two games in a row so he definitely can beat it.

  3. I love hockey records cause it’s always “so and so is now tied with Gretzky all time and just needs 5 more to tie Gretzky again and then 3 more to surpass Gretzky’s record”

  4. One more 4 point game and he is is second, 2 more 4 point games and he has snatched another record from gretz and a cup

  5. In game 5 alone, he’s already passed Gretzky and Gretzky. I wouldn’t be surprised if he manages to pass Gretzky in game 6.

  6. If the oilers complete the reverse sweep he’s very likely to break it. Wild.

  7. He won’t catch Gretzky in points or cups, but I honestly think that by the time McDavid retires, he’ll be considered the best player to ever lace ’em up.

  8. He is going to be at the top of that list once the oilers come back to win the Stanley Cup and McJesus gets 4 points in each game.

  9. Imagine today’s McDavid in the late 80s era where the majority of goaltending was ass.
