can we even trust that Griffin canning is going to pitch today they’ve been doing some oopd oops here and some change of Ros on the mountain they did it to us yesterday uh Zack plesac out of nowhere like what the what the hell happened he was supposed to be was it supposed to be Sorano yesterday the next thing you know it’s Zack BAC and I don’t know what the hell is going on there but uh there’s base you know Washington’s Washington’s listening to the show and he’s like base runner makes a good point I don’t I’m just going to say it’s going to be one of five guys it’s going to start but the problem with that is like they don’t have anybody good so it could be one of Five Guys well they’re all crappy right so okay well that’s not going to really help you that much uh as far as this game goes I made it the Brewers the second leg of the base winner parlay I thought it paid pretty good Minnesota first five uh Milwaukee first five and it was like plus 185 what do we what what did they give me today Kyle plus 186 nice oh even better you guys gave me another point you guys are the best um so so this it’s it’s really hard and and the name thing I I agree with you on the name thing the Tobias thing it’s like it’s like a religious cult okay so like it’s really hard to bet on this no I’m I’m with you I I I I really agree with your take on that looking at his numbers they’re they’re kind of League average esque right but what you have going for you he’s got a a huge offensive Advantage I mean this Brewers team I was kind of uh somebody was high on them to begin the season and somebody got ridiculed and somebody somebody how are those Brewers going right uh anyway uh they’re fourth they’re they’re fourth in baseball oh did they beat the Reds the other day no I think I actually think the Reds won that series I’m not sure about that but anyway uh 20 22nd is the Angels offense you know I wouldn’t be opposed I did this yesterday I played a first five a I ended up playing the Angels yesterday first five angels and then I played the over in the first five so if your sports book allows you to do that uh I wouldn’t be opposed to playing a a Milwaukee first five and an over in the same game first five uh that that’s a that’s a decent idea but for purposes of the show going to make it the second leg of the base winter parlay at a nice price guys our resident Brewers fan Trevor vanon boss Jones says Angels first five Brewers offense doesn’t show up until the fifth or sixth inning and it’s annoying as hell to watch as a fan that’s how I feel about the Yankees when I that’s how I feel about every when I’m it’s a see double results the first five is always just a little dicey uh what do you think about this one Corby Tobias Meyers Griffin canning what a pitcher duel I mean the Milwaukee offense is better than the Angels offense right so it’s Brewers or nothing for me on this one yeah it’s uh it’s how I’m going to feel about the Dodgers too here in about what 10 hours hours when they they have zero runs through five and they score seven in the sixth it’s it’s the it’s the common theme but yeah I listen I don’t have I don’t have much on this game I think base runner broke it down very well and uh couldn’t back Griffin canning if I wanted to but I will say one thing I’ve been gone for a few days I I got to watch a few games you know sit back relax drink me a Kors Kors banquet or if I wanted to I didn’t oh the banquet beer yeah okay and I I saw something that just blew my mind from this Angels off or not offense I guess defense they have a and Ben Joyce I don’t know if yall watched that game he he kind of got shilled he throws 103 fast ball 97 change up 97 m per hour change up a 97 singer and then an 85 slider that is some of the nastiest stuff I like it’s Paul Ski’s esque he went pretty deep into a game he’s 23 years old 6 fo5 like he has everything that you could need like I don’t know how he only has a 16% strikeout rate he had pretty good location like he was getting just absolute blind swing and um he still I think they lost that game like 92 or something um Ben Joyce keep that name on your radar it wouldn’t surprise me if he has to end up being like some kind of relief just that’s that’s a lot of tax under arm uh it could remind me of like a Michael copc type of situation but I think Ben Joy would be a really good pickup for any team who wants him in the near future so the angels have have a little hidden gym that I I guess watched the other day and I was just in absolute Shar I mean what the hell is the point of a 97 mph change up what’s the just that’s just seems too hard they smoked him too I was watching that game I can’t remember what team it was Corby but I I was watching the Giants yeah and they they smoked no I was watching him play the Astros and the Astros smoked him too so I don’t know maybe he’s not a good pickup I think he has a TA I think he has a TA but he definitely he has good stuff I but it looks like he kind of brings his arm back a little farther on a fast for to get a little bit of a little bit of torque to get it to 103 and uh maybe he’s better at like 99 but overall like if you can throw that hard you can if you put you on a good team you can you can figure out how to use that to your advantage it’s what happened to Mason Miller like Mason Miller wasn’t that like definitely wasn’t the reliever of the year two years ago he has 101 they found out how to use him um very similar situation I think yeah I just if you’re throwing a change up 97 just get rid of that pitch you don’t need that that’s not a change up that’s a flaming fast ball that’s what that is that’s a rocket of a fast ball what’s the point of throwing a change up 97 if you’re throw I I just I don’t see how that’s going to fool anybody what is off the top of your head cor hate hate to put you on the spot if you don’t know it’s no big deal uh Mason Miller what is his CH does he have a change up what does he do other than he throws a change up so he just throws a fast so so that would go to Kyle’s point right yeah I think it’s fastball slider the the main reason I’m bring up 97 change up is the change up is such little spin rate like it’s hard to get that much torque so like you’re you’re you’re going to get different move so the basically the the difference between a change up and a fast ball is you want them to look the exact same one’s going to keep going straight and one’s going to Veer off to whatever side you you have arm Side Run um so you’re imagining that if you can get basically 5 miles hour off you’re going to get somebody to swing at least a bat length difference the issue is like he’s just not right now kind of as Kyle brings up like his change up though very fast which is fine to be fast you just need to be able to take spin rate off of it and he’s not like it’s I mean it says 1300 spin rate I do not believe that from what I watched it moves just like a fast ball um if he’s throwing 13300 spin rate at 98 miles an hour listen this guy might be getting sa young tickets next year for me that is crazy um but from what I’ve seen it’s it’s not that good uh Corby I got a question for I got a question for Corby Kyle if you don’t mind did you P were you a pitcher in high school you you you speak like a pitcher I have never played baseball but I I like worked out pitching I was a quarterback so I practiced throwing U got good at pitching but I’m too scared of a baseball he they hey you get one of those things hit right back at you and you do not want to play anymore we haven’t we haven’t got we haven’t delved into corby’s football lore was he all County all League cor Corby tell us about your football career so I’m a I’m a tall kid who got tall faster than everybody else I did I did I did well but I wouldn’t say I’m good I would say that I was the kid that hit his growth spur at 12 when everybody else hit at 16 so I uh I had I had plenty of advantages let me bring up something that Corby will have no idea what I’m talking about bass winner in the words of the great fog horn Leghorn there’s something a little woooo about a boy that don’t play baseball that’s all we’re going to say there’s a little streak of Paisley there we call that a streak of Paisley he he talks like he was a pitcher I I I thought well maybe Corby had good extension in the day but I don’t know you know it’s it’s my one regret because I’m also left-handed so I’m left-handed and I can I can throw pretty hard so excellent first Bas he could have just stood stood first base and just you know it would have been fine but for purposes of the show here the second leg of the B winter parlay we’ve got the twins in the first five we’ve got the Brewers in
