welcome into the recap of the Cub’s most ridiculous loss of the season they blow a 4-2 lead the ninth and fall to the Giants as the Cubs blow their 17th save of the Season I’m David Kaplan it’s brought to you by our great Partners at wintrust the exclusive home of Cub checking get your own Cubs checking account click on the QR code on your screen and go to wintrust.com slubs for all the details I’m so freaking mad that I stay up late I got to get up early to go to work just like the rest of you who put your heart in there your time your money to watch a [ __ ] effort by this team and an organization that does not give a [ __ ] because if they did there’s no way that’s the bullpen they’d run out there we knew at the start of the season this Bullpen wasn’t going to be good this bad blow their 17th save tonight I’ll take you through the ninth in a minute but you know what the Chicago Cubs are telling their fan base that’s what they’re telling them Fu we don’t care we don’t make trades in June nobody makes a trade in June guess what teams that want to win wouldn’t tolerate this but you take all of us for granted that’s a [ __ ] loss yes they should have scored seven eight nine runs tonight they were four for 15 with mened scoring position they left 12 men on base they don’t have a great team they don’t but guess what four to2 in the ninth against a team that’s lost five straight that Justin steel has handcuffed all night long and the best you have is to hand the ball to Colton effing Brewer that’s who you’re going to close with Colton Brewer and guess what after he gives up a couple guess who they go to Drew effen Smiley he stinks Drew Smiley I throw harder in the 60 and over League than this guy does and I got better command let me take you through the ninth inning again the Cub offense they scored four runs they should have scored a hell of a lot more I’m tired of watching guys whether it’s Chris Morell or someone else pitches right in the box right down the middle stand there with the bat on their shoulder and a fast ball fools them that’s [ __ ] but listen to the ninth inning it’s going to make you want to puke like it did me here we go we go to the ninth inning Colton Brewers in to replace Tyson Miller Chapman with a bloop double to Center Estrada singles now you got first and third can forto sack fly it’s a 43 ball game they pinch hit Bailey they go to Smiley Bailey a single now you’ve got Estrada over at second Ahmed walks you got the bases loaded get a sack fly it’s a 44 game you intentionally walk Ramos you got a pitcher that can’t throw strikes why are you intentionally walking Ramos are you telling me that this guy Ramos Helio Ramos is that freaking good no he’s not and guess what Wilmer Flores walks ball game over the bottom line is this organization says that Fu Cubs fans we don’t give a [ __ ] we’re not going to make a move cuz we’ve got the greatest prospects in the history of the world and we won’t trade any of them to go get somebody who’s a major league reliever I’m not asking for a closer I’m asking for somebody who should be in the big leagues just a decent freaking arm this is [ __ ] [ __ ] you people don’t care about your fan base cuz if you did you’d either fire people or you’d have some freaking balls to go get a reliever Cubs lose 5 to four on a walk-off walk Fu Cubs that’s [ __ ] the Chicago Lance Chevy dealers player of the game that’s easy it’s Justin steel you had a great night see you tomorrow dang it it pisses me off

Kap doesn’t just pound his desk once in this video. He pounds it twice! And he even gives his favorite team the middle finger and an “F you!”

Kap can’t believe what is going on with this team. The Cubs blew their 17th game of the season! The bullpen is so bad they sent out Colton Brewer to close a game where Justin Steele dominated the Giants all night. Colton gave up a couple of runs and then they went to Drew Smyly who gave up 2 more. He walked in the winning run! The Cubs bullpen just keeps finding new ways to blow games night after night and the front office has done absolutely nothing to fix it.

How can they keep watching this every night and not aggressively try and fix it? There’s no law that says you can’t make trades in June.

And let’s not let the offense off the hook. They left 12 men on base tonight. They should have had 8 or 9 runs in this gave, but they kept leaving guys on base all night. The combination of this terrible bullpen and terrible offense is making Kap lose his mind.

  4. As soon as the Giants leadoff hitter reached in the 9th. I knew it was over . Your overrated manager is getting nothing from these players while making some stupid moves . At least David Ross had a positive run differential with basically the same team ( thanks Hoyer ) and nowhere near the blown saves . I never believed that bullshit about Counsell being a great manager. How many playoff series' did the Brewers win with him ? I hope Ricketts enjoys watching his money being pissed away because he's the leader of this clown show .

  17. Hey Kap I’m not sure if you read all the comments or not but I hope you read this one. I have been a Die Hard Cubs fan for 38 years now and I couldn’t wait to get off work to get home to watch the Cubs game. I would have season tickets every year for the last 12 years. Now I can’t even watch them right now. It’s the worst time that I can remember being a Cubs fan. There have been a lot of rough years but at least when you tuned in and turned the game on there was always the hope that they could win that day. That’s not the feeling I have right now. My 1st thought is how are they going to lose today’s game and I watch batter after batter just watch meatballs go right down the middle and look at it go by. There is no desire to win there is no fire no spark no nothing. I give the Ricketts credit for renovating Wrigley and how much they built it up around the stadium. The problem is is that the Ricketts are making money hand over fist because of us loyal Cubs fans. The Ricketts know that no matter how bad it gets the fans will still come and support and spend money. They told us last year to wait and see and this year they were hoping that a team that over performed last year was going to out do themselves from a year ago. Can Council even manage a big market team? I’m not so sure because if he did he sure as hell would have the Cubs a lot more fired up. They look worse than A’s hell they look as bad as the south siders. The Ricketts won’t make any moves because they want to recoup the 233 million they gave out last year. They do not care because their mindset is we gave the fans a World Series in 2016 they will be good for awhile and the fans will still come no matter what. That’s not fair to us loyal die hard fans and it’s not fair to anyone else. The Cubs have the means to go put a contender on the field but they won’t. STOP TRYING TO GET A DAMN WILD CARD SPOT AND GET BACK TO DOMINATING TEAMS AND WIN THIS DAMN MEDIOCRE DIVISION. sorry rant over I’m just pissed I cannot take this from my team anymore. Take That!!!

  21. went to the game, drove 45 minutes each way to watch the same pathetic drivel you all have seen at Wrigley. no clutch gene from any hitter or reliever. completely inexcusable performances and there needs to be organizational changes after the year.

    This team is no where near good enough to move your young prospects for. There are way too many holes. Even if they could clinch a watered down wild card spot, they'd never go anywhere. Sit the players who aren't performing and play the young kids who are supposed to be so good, so we can see what they're made of. If the fans truly want to help this ball club, STOP filling up Wrigley Field, day after day, until something changes and people are held accountable!
    I've been a fan for 47 years, and it hurts me to say this, but we the fans need to stop dishing out our money to a team that's willing to accept mediocrity! I remember a time when the Cubs would go after and get top notched players! It didn't always work, but by gosh management would get who they wanted!
