he welcome into the chgo Bears podcast what’s going on Bears fans on this Tuesday in late June grinding towards training camp and my last show boys or I Disappeared forever last show forever it’s a very emotional day on the show hog is leaving us but that’s okay because we have our Intrepid reporter here our fearless leader for the record I’m only PS are prizewinning reporting from one Mark I’m detecting sarcasm do you hear sarcasm Stephen it seems like I can just leave it I can leave right now I think good it sounds like these two could just go at it they got it covered early vacation go ahead definitely have some nonsense coming up uh that we’re going to have some fun with so uh yeah I’m taking my annual little summer break I’ve been very jealous of all the go golf that Greg has played that I have not so I’m just going to load up here for two weeks I haven’t played that much golf I’m going to get as much in as possible and then I’m going to come back ready to go for training camp no um yeah we do have some Stadium stuff to discuss I’m going to tarm up on that here in a second um if you saw on social media yesterday we somehow these fine gentlemen here talked me into uh being in a music video one of your I thought it was your a great performance some of the outcut that didn’t make it in mainly you what were you wakeboarding surfing what were you doing yeah we tried to do one with me wake surfing but the audio like we needed a better microphone situation with you know the waves and the boat it just didn’t really work too bad cuz that would have been great I thought it was great could do it out we we’ll talk to Dave sori’s coming up at 12:30 about his decision to leave that Al because I thought it should have been in there but I but I some bloopers yeah I mean I don’t want to question Dave’s editorial choices cuz he is Elite and literally working with him was one of the true pleasures of my life yeah I thought it was smart for you guys to combine forces because you know I know how much you like I know how much you like to sing and he has talent and there’s a lot you could learn from that right I have less talent and I was again it felt to me as I put out in the Tweet yesterday that I felt like I was working with Lennon and McCartney or Lennon and Madonna so like but that’s how I feel when I’m watching your reporting like trying to put myself in your shoes like how would I have approached this well okay so it is you know it is interesting to play Both Sides where you’re one singing with Dave swerski and then you’re talking about be stadium news in a serious way but let me just should I update what that’s what we do that is what we do here so yeah everybody everybody’s you know waiting to see what’s happening here the Bears we’re now almost two months it really has been two months since that big unveiling of their City their new Soldier Field plans what they were hoping that uh quickly kind of went nowhere in terms of how you know the state actually handled it in the month of May and now all of a sudden we’re on the June 25th uh meanwhile uh some stadium news yesterday in Carolina 7 to3 vote to pass the renovations that they’re going to do to the Panthers stadium and they need it relatively easily um there’s been stuff going on in Kansas City with what’s happening with the Chiefs and and they’re trying to figure out if they’re staying an arrowhead or maybe they’re going to move to the Kansas side of uh the Kansas City area which uh pre-show meeting taking you inside that uh uh Greg learned that there’s a Kansas City Kansas I actually did you learn that Kansas City was actually located in Missouri or just that they were actually that it was part of both States yeah no yeah it’s not the answer which one I so what happened was we started talking about this and then I realized you were saying that Kansas city is in both States and I couldn’t remember that if I actually knew that at some point in my life but just the revelation of relearning it I was like wow that’s crazy and stupid all at the same time like pick a state that might have been the greatest one word ever muttered on this fine show yeah uh and Northwestern put out more renderings of their new stadium yesterday so there’s all this going on and then in the middle of all this Mark Carmen did some reporting so yes K would you like to upate everybody on what you learned I would Adam as the you know as the wizard uh that I am over here I got uh a very strong uh you know tip that progress is being made between the Bears and Arlington Heights and the school board on the property taxes and that uh perhaps something you know could be moving quickly towards Arlington Heights and so I went out and I was able to confirm that that indeed progress has been made and the bearers of course own the land in Arlington Heights and they have to pay taxes on it and they are they have been negotiating uh to get that into a place that they feel is fair um so along the lines you know as they’re doing these negotiations the The Hope maintains in in I tonights from at least the people that I’ve been able that I’ve speaking with I don’t I’m not saying it’s Universal that everyone in Arlington Heights wants the bearss there but the people that I’ve talked to of course they want the Bears to ultimately choose to build their Stadium on what was formerly Arlington Park the Bears the 326 Acres of the Bears own now uh so and so I put out the Tweet yesterday and then uh the other side of it is that the Bears do remain adamant that yes these negotiations on the taxes are going on but that they are still focused on the museum campus in Chicago that despite the fact the that there’s progress uh with the taxes that does not mean that they are com that that Kevin Warren has given up on Chicago that indeed that their focus Still Remains on the museum campus in Chicago that’s where they would like to be who who knows how this thing is going to spin but that is after you know a full now 24 hours of tracking everything that was you know I was running into that is the full update on where the Bears are at the progress is made their neg negotiations are ongoing so they can feel you know whatever the tax they’re paying is is fair and who knows what Arling TS and the school board is willing to exactly give up without any real commitment the Bears are going to build there and then you know but the Bears on the land so they they’ve got to work this and now the other side of it Kevin has been very clear and some people thought this this a negotiating thing you know with Chicago I have never I my personal opinion strict opinion is that this is what he really wants and they are maintaining that they want to build on the museum campus in Chicago yeah and I’ve said this before like I don’t even know if they would have actually purchased land at Arling tonights if Kevin Warren the president at that time I agree but what’s important here so there’s like the news part and then there’s what this all means and I think the what this means thing can be more of a discussion in but the the Crux of what you learned Karm that you know I I think has been confirmed here is that is some progress between the Bears Arlington Heights the school board on what was happening with the taxes which people get bored with this so we don’t have to go into the Weeds on it too much but basically they’re being charged higher taxes on an empty plot of land than what Churchill Downs was being was having to pay when it was an up and running Racetrack and something about that doesn’t seem right like and and and so there there that should be fixed and it did seem like a in my opinion now did seem like a political Ploy by you know the tax assessor especially in Arlington Heights and I think it was a screw up by them because I think there was a world where this could have been FastTrack and started even with Kevin Warren as the president but putting up any type of Roadblock was a mistake and that’s why uh on top of I think Kevin’s own desire to you know accomplish building a new Soldier Field in this city which he’s talked openly about now um that gave them the window to Pivot back to the city and see if they can get this done but they still do own this land they did spend 97.2 million right on top of now the construction cost to knock it down and this land is there ready to have something done with it and they do have until they figure all this out they do have to pay property taxes on it so the I think that’s the news that there’s been some progress made there what does it mean well it could mean as little as they made progress on this empty land that they got to pay property taxes on it could mean it will help them potentially build a stadium in that area eventually but I also think what’s important here is at least as of now this has not changed their focus on building and trying to get this done done in the city right that’s the dream whether it’s a pipe dream or not who knows but that still does remain their dream mark you’ve said and you said it today that you believe that Kevin Warren is genuine that he wants to keep it in Chicago I do if that was the case I mean how long do you think it would take for that deal to come to fruition that’s a million-dollar question I have like just a ball park guess like it just just to have fun with it in my my opinion a I think a year out year is best case scenario would agree years probably most realistic and so in that time you’ve got to spend the the tax the property tax you have to keep paying you this is a place that you could literally start building the stadium tomorrow they’ve already demolished you know Churchill down so like to me it is you know some political maneuvering a little bit of tug-of-war and you know the other aspect of it where you know Arlington Heights is saying progress being made Chicago saying oh you know the door’s still open everybody’s gonna say that because you don’t want to it’s a that’s that helps you with your leverage if you say oh you know things are going terribly one side or the other whether it’s the Bears or Arlington Heights that’s not going to help your case to try to make the leverage the way you want it to go so to me they’re going to continue to say yeah things are good until they’re not good yeah I mean how this gets move how this moves from here is anyone’s best guess I the one thing that the off I’ve got an off theboard play that uh hasn’t gotten a whole lot of talk and this is when hog is going to perhaps scream at me like he screamed at me yesterday on the show before the record I gave him the same advice in the pre-show meeting as I did yesterday which was don’t do this well so he’s going to blow through the stop sign on the second day in a row I’m just we’re putting all that out there now now now here you go yeah okay here you go so I’m looking as Greg was learning about where Kansas City is um I I I’m looking at that situation where Missouri does not want to give the RO the Chiefs any D and so here comes Kansas coming in to make a sweetheart offer to try to get them to move from where Arrowhead is in Missouri over to Kansas now that those there is State Line Road that runs straight through town there so shocking development what side of town you’re on is is can be unclear to certainly anybody who’s not familiar to KC if you’re just visiting so it’s that it’s that close K it’s it’s right there which is not necessarily the case with Gary Indiana and downtown Chicago however since it’s been very clear the equ just for the record the equivalent of what’s happening in Kansas would be Hammond sure let’s call it Hammond you drive across let’s call it Hammond I don’t know you go there every day do the Skyway you go over the bridge you see the casino and there’s a Bear Stadium there Hammond let’s call it Hammond Missouri and Kansas are two different states Hammond and Gary are two different cities okay let’s go Hammond I appreciate the amendment the closer option Hammond yo Indiana if I’m you and I’m watching this I am engaging the Bears and if I’m the Bears and I’m looking for leverage on governor pritsker and Company I am engaging Indiana I’m not talking to Aurora I’m not talking to Arlington Heights if you want to get money from the state and make then I would be talking and seeing what I could get from Indiana if you really want to do this and you want to get this done faster and you want real leverage that to me I don’t know if they’re doing this this is again straight opinion why would you not look at Indiana go right over the Border Bears fans are going to go anywhere man they’ll go to batswana Greg Braggs would buy season tickets in Brazil and figure out how to get down there if he had to do it Hammond is in the region and if they move the Bears to the region everybody can park in my C AAC and we will walk to the games and we it will be a joyous occasion every Sunday uh you know I I if it’s anything like buying a house I know how many people residents from Illinois have come over to the region to buy a house because it is cheaper so if buying a stadium is cheaper I can see the sense in it and I do know you know the the mayor of Hammond Thomas mcder he’s he’s a flashy type of guy seen him on stage you know at Festival of the lakes with Little Wayne and different other different people you know paying big money for isn’t that a country singer no Dylan mcder no no no no Dylan McDermot you said Tom Thomas mcder Greg mcder no no I think Dylan mcder is a country singer oh okay I’m sorry you threw me off you were had is such a great point com yeah regardless I I I know he wouldn’t be opposed to yeah don’t throw me off while we talk about my favorite subject and that is gey Stadium talk geography confirm can you confirm Clayton Bryan’s contenent the South Shore will drop you right there where can I get the Southshore yeah the South Shore will drop you right there 100 I get that downtown you can get on the Southshore right by the stadium right by the Soldier Field right by you know um where the bean is drops you off that’s like that’s like the last stop perfect so I’m just saying to me if you’re looking for leverage and maybe the I I you know well they did this once in the 90s where they acted like they were going to move to Northwest Indiana there’s articles that were written about it part two let’s go if you move it along I’m sure that goes against everything they’re talking about though with the Soldier Field and the benefits of it I know but this is taking forever and it’s not the city who’s talking about it so much as it’s or the state especially cuz I don’t hear pritsker calling for this it’s really just it’s it’s almost like the Bears would be fighting themselves at that point if they go come up so in K’s world over the last two days the Bears will be playing in Hammond Indiana yeah and Tyson bent will be the starting quarterback because Caleb wasn’t good in preseason of his rookie year it’s an interesting way of boiling it down um but if you just want to you know like clip out three words that I said here in three words that’s exactly what I want to do you could do that be will be the starting quarterback and and the Bears are going to Hammond and please keep watching the show while I’m on vacation this show is going to be I think it’s going to be great phenomenal I know I’m excited but we’re going to miss you so we don’t get a minimum of I’m going to come up with numbers of x amount of likes x amount of super chats x amount of views and if we don’t hit those numbers while hog is gone Hogue will never return like yeah Flex no you can say it it looks like it hurts Dave how are you handling the level of a claim that you’ve garnered in such a brief period of time people are just clamoring for song after song it’s kind of almost a pressure on you to keep putting them out but yet you do it so naturous naturally and just and seemingly all the time it’s just something else is in your head yeah I I I’ve been asked to explain it before and I don’t really have the right answer I’m 55 parodies in the one which you guys was 55 since September of last year wow so uh it’s uh I I was able to the the whole thing was once I started it um basically I was just trying to figure out if I could land at plane if I could get through the whole season do a you know response to every single game have my weekly updates and that kind of thing too and then once people started getting into it there was a little bit of pressure every every week and you know sometimes it would end and I’d be like I have no idea what I’m gonna do uh I would never predetermine it that was like one of the big things is I have a huge list of songs but I never predetermined what I’m going to do until the outcome of the game so that it it was you know in the moment and was real it was a real reaction and then it was just kind of a a test of my own I don’t know uh musical skill and comedy skill and trying to figure it out and it’s it’s uh it’s definitely blown up faster than I thought it would but it was kind of a I know George went so that’s kind of the secret my Uncle Bob uh I actually know him personally a little bit and so before I even started this I kind of went to him and I was like hey I got this idea I got to just see what happens and he was like yeah you got my blessing I’m sure Michael’s cool with it too uh Bob Odenkirk all the guys who created that skit originally they were all on board according to George so I felt like okay cool I can do this thing and then uh yeah the first the first parody song I did jumped up to over a million plays within the first two days on Tik Tok and Tik tok’s following kind of exploded there and then everything else has kind of like been catching up now too so um Tik Tok was the easiest one to grow but yeah people have been asking for certain things I swear to God secret magent man was in my Twitter feed arm I swear I swear um and I did not I was unfortunately I was not aware of the greatness that is chgo and your parody song uh love and proclivity so uh I I do I did not mean to step on toast however I got receipts know what I mean creative minds think alike you know I mean I always when people say oh you’re copying I always try to point to people point out to people like hey they were building pyramids on one side of the earth and on the other side of the earth other people building pyramid so more than one person can have the same idea at the same time without copying it’s about creativity which both of you guys do such a great job so you live out in California right yes sir so but you you grew up a Bears fan are you originally from this area like kind of give us the background of your story so you want the the behind the stash story so uh the uh I well here’s the deal so this entire character came out as being you know the nephew of Bill and Bob uh and since Bob was cool with it but technically under this stash my twin brother uh David is uh is an actor in h California so yeah I moved from the Midwest I grew up in Iowa uh huge Bears fan my entire life I always call My Generation The techmobile Generation which apparently with Hog’s Taste of music you are similar to me because hoges bring in sexy B the people in the chat don’t know how to act you know but I’m saying I there is nothing wrong with liking Justice Timberlake by the way his music is fantastic you can like all sorts of music and the people that do not understand were clearly not alive when that was hip and and with it I understand he’s now a dad but whatever hey uh but back to the situation uh at hand yes I moved to California from Iowa um after I I attended the University of Iowa for a while and so Chicago was always the place that I just that was where I wanted to be I actually I went to almost live there for a second and instead I moved here so um but the Bears have always been number one for me to to to to just to let Greg no there is no behind the stash here this is the guy everybody seems to go to Iowa yeah it’s crazy you Nick Morano doesn’t go to college swerski is is he just he just appeared and he exists and he does have you have you done Sexy Back Dave I forget is that is I have not that that another idea we’re just bringing ideas to the table that that absolutely feels entirely possible uh it’s probably got to be a gervon Dexter song bringing dexie back something well he’s the creative mind I’m just throwing things at the wall we’re bringing offense back yeah oh I like that back we would have had to have it at one point for it to come back well you know to represent the super phandom here I I have I am so flipping excited about this season and I know I always am that’s kind of I feel like I imbued A a little bit of Ted lasso optimism with the Super Fan skit that’s kind of where I meet with this whole thing but man I got invited to go to the draft party at soier field from the Bears which uh made me feel like I was doing something right with this whole thing and the excitement in that place the draft and just how they built this thing like I don’t know I think this season’s gonna have all sorts of opportunity for some happy songs that’s what I’m hoping yeah and to be honest man like that’s the Acclaim sworski deserves by the way the bear should be inviting him to every draft party go ahead well and I also think it’s the story you told where you actually um you know got the blessing of George went and everyone uh I think adds a lot of credence and to to the whole thing too and and it’s uh because otherwise people think you’re ripping off a bit but like you’re really just doing your own thing take you know taking an iconic SNL skit and and bring it to this um it you know today’s bears and today’s social media and all that I think it’s awesome it needed to be done thank you yeah thank you yeah I I I tried to do the line of like you know a new generation of bear super phandom because I do think and I actually what’s really cool is a couple weeks ago I got to perform with Robert Smigel in Chicago at the Den um which was like for me if we’re you know where Dave spury appeared out of The Ether and didn’t have a past Karm uh you know I I did have the ability to understand that these guys who I have admired my entire life because I grew up on ’90s SNL ’90s SNL was was gospel for this guy growing up and uh I I idolized as you can probably tell Sandler I actually really love we Al Yankovic as well that was something I grew up with I had the cassette tape of uh fat uh but all that kind of stuff is like I was I Revere these these guys that made this thing initially and I I would never have wanted to step on toast because I am a creative in my own right as well so like this was just stepping into their world so to get Robert to ask me to come perform with him at his Triumph show in Chicago was was kind of like so far the Pinnacle of uh not not just having somebody be like hey what you’re doing is is great and we approve it was more like hey come come do a bit with me we’re going to do a superfan thing and he did this whole Multiverse of super fans uh sketch that I got the script for the night before at nine o’clock and I sort of realized like how that guy worked because George sort of told me he’s like he he was a headwriter on SNL so before they would get going he’s like the director would be going we’re live in four three two and he’s still scribbling out note cards and and the Q cards trying to get new lines going so that’s just kind of how he operates he’s like very in the moment so to get to do that with him and then to roll from that into working with you guys in a thing that was like remote but I kind of had that experience of riding the wave of of his you know creative Mastery and to sort of like uh kind of apply that to what we were doing together was super super fun so I appreciate the opportunity you guys gave me to to work with you guys I would have loved to have seen that that would have been awesome and and I feel like we have to whiteboard this a for at least some of our uh since we apparent so many people outed themselves of not being Justin Timberlake fans I’m assuming that’s the same demographic who don’t won’t necessarily know who Robert Smigel is um but he’s yeah but Triumph the insult comic dog you know for for those of like the newer um speaking of taking you know funny things from the past and then trying to bring it into New Generation obviously that’s been a a huge hit and the best one ever in my opinion is at the wiener Circle oh yeah and she was there they had poochie come uh so she was there doing his show so he did the it was called let’s make a poop and it was literally uh he just like he did like a Jeopardy show that was like Rob bovic was the one that they he put up a Twitter poll and said who do you want to see me poop on the most and people voted for bovic so it was bovich Ryan Dempster and uh umh Sam um ah crap Sam uh he was in freaks of Geeks anyway uh but but yeah that that he’s kind of like brought that whole Triumph thing back and so he uh trashes them during the Jeopardy thing and it’s fantastic uh but Robert was also he was the head writer for Conan too so he was like the The Mastermind of Conan’s show as well which I’m I’m a Conan disciple and um Tri Triumph uh at the Star Wars convention is probably it’s probably I mean you are a huge nerd yes I mean all all of them are great no doubt and and you’re great we honestly we all a lot of us especially me live in this Bears Twitter world where a lot and you say you got a lot of your motion from Tik Tock which is kind of Beyond where I I don’t play in Tik Tock land too much but like Bears Twitter has become so toxic in the last few years it’s been nice to have somebody like you and other content creators come in and create more of a positive environment cuz we need all the help we can get cuz Bears fans obviously in the especially in the last year you know with it falling apart the way it did with fields and everything it it became kind of toxic so it’s nice to have somebody that’s going to bring some positivity to the fan base is that ssky dog in the background it’s Triumph that’s that’s Lucy I’m gonna close my door hold on you could bring her in Dave I I’d love to meet Lucy would you guys we got poppy you could have a Lucy she might come back we’ll see okay this guy brings his dog in the studio so I will say what you said Greg I that that means the word to me because that was like the fear coming into this is like the fan base was hot when I started this and the fan base was very divided about something that and honestly hog you wrote an article this off I think it was like right before offseason activities about how this time might be different with the cubes and I that was an incredible incredible article because I’ve grown up with you know what we’ve grown up with I mean like I I grew up with people that you had like I’ve always rooted for whoever was back there so I hated that whole conversation with because it was like I L that kid I I bought a jersey at Soldier Field of him because I was like I think everybody wanted to believe in the talent that everybody saw like and there why is that bad to like want your QB to be good however there’s also another side of that story that you should be able to appreciate as a fan that like maybe there’s a better Road for both of us you know like and I think that whole that situation when I came in was something and yeah there toxicity on Twitter is sort of baked into the cake at this point I think everywhere and bears Twitter especially was was kind of hot and that’s where I said I like I like to bring in sort of that Ted lasso positivity Vibe and like kill with kindness and and try to try to find a place where we can laugh about stuff that’s sad and then also celebrate the stuff that’s cool and not be at each other’s throats because that’s like you know that’s not serving anybody like we’re all rooting for the same colors we’re all rooting for the same guys and I hated that whole thing of like wanting bad things to happen on half the fan base versus the other fan base thinking that you’re an idiot if you don’t go along with that like that that’s not my vibe so I I definitely am happy to hear that that’s uh coming across because that’s all I ever wanted to do go ahead gra no nothing no because I just laugh when fans like it’s like they don’t know how to separate the two like yeah we can be serious and talk football but then you also want to have fun and like we put the video out and there might be a fan here or there that goes oh that’s cringe yeah we’re it’s called having fun try it sometime like it’s the summer let’s have some fun 25 days till training camp and um you did such a great job just from an organizational standpoint getting us in order and um you know kind of leading the way with this whole thing so it was just a lot of fun Dave what’s your favorite tune that you put out to this point oh man I think when I did tanking for Caleb uh after we we had started ow and tree and like I think we’ won one game that was like the biggest stretch for me creatively because the behind his stash still stands is kind of like one of my favorites because I was literally like I was in the kitchen I was depressed and I was doing week weekly updates I was just like I I like what am I going to say and then suddenly like no one knows what it’s like to be the sad fan behind his stash kind of like just popped into my head I think I was cooking eggs and I was like oh I gotta go upstairs and write this thing and then that one popping off like that one has has stayed for me as a really cool thing but there’s like three that stick out that one just because it was the OG uh and then when we finally won I did I’m still a Believer and that was actually the same week that buttus had died so talk about pressure there was like this thing of people had started to like show up and be like what are you gonna do next kind of a thing and with the high of finally getting the win matching that like real low of like how do I find the right tone to say yay yay we won but also like we lost like a true legend to anyone that knows anything about the history of the Bears so that one would sticks out in my mind as well but then tanking for Caleb I really went nuts with the production value on that one think I had watched the Bo Burnham special on Netflix too many times and I tried to figure out how many camera angles I could do in this one room with there’s like there’s three of me dancing in one frame at one point I like I I went like way over the top on that one so that one still stands as like kind of my favorite uh in terms of trying to think outside the box and like how can I make this even bigger than it already was uh but how long does it take you to put one of these together cuz I mean the production value is 1,000% there way better than karms it’s it’s so like that’s correct I can tell that it’s not an easy Venture like how much time are you spending on like one song yeah that it it’s crazy because like my fiance uh who I will be getting married to actually during this season which is a bummer I may have to miss one week I’m just gonna put that out there now but um we’re actually finally getting married we were supposed to get married in Co and then it’s taking forever to figure it out but anyway um she constantly is like makes fun of me because I’m always like I don’t know what I’m going to do I don’t know what I’m going to do like what I have no ideas and then she’s in in her words three hours later I come down and I’m done that’s not really the case but uh when I get when I get an idea I am I’ve been I’m a musician i’ I’ve been in performance and in writing for a very long time so um it once I get going I really like kind of just roll down the hill with some momentum I will say that so the first step is always what’s the song and then it’s sitting with the lyrics and mapping out an entire new lyric path for the whole thing uh that flexes and moves the entire time I’m writing it and then it’s it always starts with an acoustic so it’s always the acoustic guitar first uh that’s kind of the basis for me to figure it out and then for like the one that we did for instance like I’m I’m playing bass and I record everything there’s no pre-recorded anything anytime I do one of these so I I’m if there’s multiple instruments I’m having to actually track it um but this is all done in the season it was done within a day so I would track Bas uh drums is a pillow and a Shaker and protein tub uh so that’s like five tracks of drums usually every time that I’m layering on top of itself along with bass uh acoustic guitar electric guitar um sometimes claps uh sometimes other stuff too and then usually like four or five of me singing so that part takes its own time after and that has to come after I figure the song out because obviously like you can’t really change the lyrics and there’s no point in tracking all that until I have everything else done so that’s a couple hours usually like within four hours I’m usually done with the the music music part of it if it’s a stacked one like that like what we did and then shooting it fortunately like right before I did this project non stashed me had just directed a pilot concept that uh someone very close to me wrote and was trying to sell right before the strikes happened uh out here uh with writers and actors so I had a project that I was really proud of that I had directed and I had edited the entire thing myself too so I had just come out of like a space where that Creative Juice of like I I’ve visually fortunately or unfortunately because sometimes it drives me crazy and I can’t sleep but I see I see story and pictures because I grew up on you know 90s SNL but also like movies in that time period where for me it’s still kind of like the classics of movie making in that era so I just see pictures so in here there’s only so many options so then it’s camera setups how many of me am I recording changing my outfit seven to eight times my favorite was when people always thought I had a twin which was like that was kind of the idea in the beginning it was like was trying to fool people the one that really popped off uh was hello darkness my old friend from Simon a Garfunkle and I just recreated where they were sitting and standing next to each other with two of me uh in the moment live and that one kind of made people you know think they’re two of me but um it I would say like from start to finish then so shooting it all and then not even that then you got to throw it all back into an editing suite and then I have to line it all up and then make the decisions of how am I cutting how am I doing what I’m doing uh that Parts another I I don’t know five six hours uh so it’s usually like a day to two days of like fulltime work with a sandwich break in the middle and maybe uh you know a malort at the end to uh celebrate um Force straight Forest deal with and then he had to deal with us yes and and uh you know I perhaps didn’t send all the files at the at the same time then like hey can you get this in there too just it was the was not the best performance by me uh Dave do you think that perhaps like I I I like to walk down the street and just randomly sing songs and just not really worried about who’s around and I think I have you know maybe just like a trifle Touch of Tourette’s do you do you have do do do you have the same or or do do not yes I I I have a tune in my head all the flipping time my friends uh I will say what has been crazy is doing all this and doing 55 of them like I could now recall like there will be times I wake up and I’m I’m singing I’m a Believer from week four or whatever it was you know like it’s uh there’s always a tune I have a I have a list right now I have a running list of potential songs and it’s like over 250 of them right now so then I just have like a a path where I can go in and say oh that might match up or there’s the song I’m thinking of and I throw them into a playlist and I listen to them a lot too so that if a lyric idea pops into my head I can just like attack it um but uh yeah I mean like it’s been a test and I always have a song in my head so it’s it’s been combining all these different things I love the love of the Bears the love of this kind of sketch comedy and cringe like the cringe is a is a benefit it’s a feature not a bug my friends um just so you know uh and it’s one of those things that like if you can’t laugh and have a good time with it my my whole thing is always like it’s very easy not to watch things on the internet that you don’t like and it’s very easy to just not follow somebody that you don’t like so if you uh don’t get the same enjoyment out of it you could just like don’t watch that’s okay that’s okay too you know we can we all have the choice in that as well I mean I’ve been forced to sit next to Karm for two years but that’s right I have him blocked on Twitter you poor unfortunate soul do you find do do you find yourself talking in the sworski voice and more now like all that just was sorry my niece has watched Little Mermaid about a hundred times and she got to my house five weeks ago so that that actually just like triggered me in a very negative way why what happen I’m sorry Let It Go Let It Go Dave we uh we need you in studio we need you at one of our tailgates we need something with you I going to say we got to see you at some point this season if you’re in town come tailgate or something definitely got to come to the studio but the tailgate is a great idea too you know it’s it’s a good vibe at our tailgate you’d have a great time thousands of Bears fans maybe we can find some uh production out of that as well I love it I told George mcy at the draft party it just so happened that I had had enough liquid courage and he was there we told him that we were about to get married he’s like why aren’t you married yet sers and we were like and then he actually he gave us a little heads up about when they were going to London so my dream and I have pitched this to the Bears if you are listening bears that I would like to be a super fan on the streets in the UK asking people in the UK that are both tourists and locals all about bears fandom uh you know coach Ted lasso versus dicka that kind of thing and I’ve also told George mcy that I Want to Sing the anthem which think is probably very far off but judging from his reaction he was like I’ve seen some of your parody swk I’m not sure about that but uh but yeah I mean that’s kind of the idea and I I plan to be in Chicago quite a bit this season because I I do come back and forth quite a bit so the more reason that there is to be there the higher the chances of a ssky appearance my yeah oh yeah we’re making it happen D that a good start at a George impression by the way I’m just going to tell you I could see him saying exactly what he said to you yes it was funny he you know like with like a little [ __ ] head like kind of looking at me like I know that you think I’m a big deal right now I can hear you but it was cool he was actually really he was like really really kind he just I don’t know that the uh Anthem is going to be the thing unless y’all make a petition you know the fans in the chat let’s go
