Whether you like chads analysis or not he has connections in the league. Not surprising with how much smoke there was around this happening. Skinner was an entertaining player to watch but it was time to move on.
What we have been doing hasn’t worked. Might as well try something different. Was a big Skinner, sucks to see it end like this
Only makes sense we further fuck a terrible contract on the back end too. Absolutely hate the idea of eating up cap space from our actual window, before we even get there. It’s a move to fix our third line, but it eats a 3rd liners cap space when we should be competing.
Sweet. Seems like a nice guy but I’m not going to miss him.
The most important question: Who is going to take over Between 2 Stalls?

I’m sure he’ll go to another team and score 40.

Gonna absolutely suck to see him go somewhere else on the cheap and score 40 again.
I said he’s cooked and was hated for it. Obviously I’m not that wrong
Love Jeff and it’s a logical move if they are gonna do something with that cap space.
Teams are loading up on cap space (Red Wings, Predators) and with the flame under the front office to win now, they need everything they can to be in the arms race.
Jeff was one of my favorite players but we need players that can move up and down the line-up and he’s not one of them.
Not sure how I feel about this. I’m going to miss him though.
It’s a shame they’ll get nothing for him. He has almost 700 career points, one would think that you could get something, anything, in return for that even with an unfavorable cap number and a NMC.
Based on the situation, I get it. I don’t like it, but I get it.

Bad move.
When skinner signed I always was against it for the term saying it didn’t make sense for the amount wed be paying at the age he was going to be. And I took a lot of flack at the time. And here we are most likely buying him out of his last 3 years. maybe this was the plan all along but I doubt it.
Personally I would prefer buying him out next summer, to maximize next season cap space, but clearly I have no clue what is going on behind the scenes, and what are next roster moves that will follow
Don’t like this for the cap penalty. But we’re screwed because he has a total NMC
