MAJOR Miami Heat Rumors Before The 2024 NBA Draft On Jimmy Butler, Draft Trade

happy NBA Draft Day Heat fans this is the heat report by Chad Sports I am Nick rolloff we have a lot to discuss as we are just under 12 hours away from the NBA draft getting underway and I think I want to tell you first to be subscribed to the channel because we are going to have in-depth analysis of anything the Miami he does tonight whether it be a trade whether it be a actual selection at 15 we will have you covered we will also be live for the NBA draft tonight 1 hour before so 7 p.m. Eastern 6 p.m. central Time come join us as we’re going to have a lot of fun but the reason why I want to come up here and make a video before the draft is because a lot of rumors are coming out surrounding the Miami Heat we obviously saw a big-time trade in the NBA World last night with M Bridges but there was also another trade that might actually end up impacting the Miami Heat in specifically Jimmy Butler as the Houston Rockets and Nets made a deal to where the Nets get basically they’re all get their own picks back and the rockets get all of the Suns picks so the Rockets have loaded up on a bunch of picks from Phoenix and the Brooklyn Nets have loaded up on their own picks as well as the picks from New York that they got for Mel Bridges but the where I want to start today and we’ll talk about Jimmy in the last half of today’s video but there was a rumor that came out from Jake fiser about the heat potentially wanting to trade up in the NBA draft and they’re eyeing the number number n SE uh selection that is currently held by the Memphis Grizzlies now Miami is picking 15 obviously and to me if they wanted to move up to nine they obviously have a few prospects in mind that they don’t think are going to slip to 15 in if you’re a Heat fan and who knows if the heat trade up or if they don’t trade up but all I know is that if there is legitimate like if this is legit and the report is real there’s if there’s conviction here from the front office on a certain Prospect I am all in on moving up to get him now who Could That Prospect be I tweeted this out so if you haven’t followed me already follow me at Nick rolloff on Twitter SLX but the four prospects I think Miami could have a really liking on I think there’s four of them one Ron Holland the Ford from the g- league ignite two Devin Carter the guard SL forward from Providence three Rob Dillingham the guard from Kentucky and then fourth is unlikely but if I were to trade up to nine I would make this pick and it’s nicoa topic the point guard from Serbia so I want to talk about some of these prospects a little bit more in depth here but give me your prediction who are the Miami Heat going to pick tonight in the first round of the NBA draft draft of prospect down below all right let’s talk about Ron Holland first because Ron Holland is one of the more intriguing guys in this draft because coming into the col legan season and he didn’t play college he played in the G League um but going into the college season back in October and November the top two picks projected were Ron Holland and Isaiah ker so Ron Holland had quite the Fall From Grace but some people believe in the draft circles that he could be the best player from this draft and I see the vision this guy’s 67 68 freakishly athletic good athletic profile he is one of the best Wing Defenders already in the end or this draft and he would be a above average Wing defender in the NBA from day one if we’re going to be honest he averaged 20 points per game last year for the ignite now he did it because he was more volume and he wasn’t very efficient with his shooting and that’s his main issue like he has absolutely no jump shot that’s the problem shot 23 24% from Beyond The Arc last year for the ignite and the part that was concerning is that his misses were bad like he was missing I think 20 or 25 of them or like air balls or barely nicking the rim like the jump shot is not pretty but he is one of the best attackers of the rim in Wing Defenders SL athletes in this draft and if the heat had the confidence in their ability to develop his shooting then I would be all in on selecting Ron Holland there was also a quote the other day that came out Ron Holland in a pre-draft interview saying that he’s going to be excited to draft Jaylen or guard Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum because that’s type the type of people he will defend Bend in the NBA like that is obviously something Miami desperately needs as they try to compete in the Eastern Conference with the Boston Celtics and they’ll need to do it against the New York Knicks now after they have Mel Bridges and hell they might even resign ogn and Obi as well so the heat are going to need more wing and size and athleticism to compete with the Celtics and Knicks in the East so Ron Holland is someone I’m all in on he’s very confident in his abilities which is good because Miami needs confidence and they like that in their players so Ron Holland is some if he slips to 9 or 10 I think Miami could make a move up to go get and we’ll talk about what the heat could offer to move up after in a second but I want to touch about the last two prospects here um which is Devin Carter and Rob Dillingham we won’t really talk about top pitch because I think he’s really unlikely even though it’s what I would do if I was Pat Riley um but with Dillingham and Carter two different guards Carter is 62 68 wingspan unbelievable size profile really good athlete he’s one of the best point of attack Defenders as well on the guard position he can really just get into you and with those lengthy arms cause havoc on contest getting his hands in the passing lanes and just making you feel uncomfortable unorthodox shot form but shot 37 38% from three last year in the Big East and he took some tough shots from Deep too like he took some NBA styled threes so to me even though the form is a little wonky I believe in it and I think it’s going to work at the next level one thing I also like about Carter is that he averaged 8.7 rebounds in the Big East as a 6-2 guard are you kidding like this is one of the toughest and most physical conferences in college basketball and he’s just dominating the glass as a guard this also points to his 42inch vertical so you combine his wingspan arm length and then his 42inch vert like he is one of the most athletic guys in this draft and someone that Miami desperately needs that can play the two play the three and H even play the one sometimes Bryce Hopkins the best player on Providence last year who was a 20 point per game scorer towards ACL in the early portion of the Season Carter who’s not known for a scoring ability and it was a second option for the Friars had to become that lead guy get all the coverage was thrown at him in the Big East and he still average 19 points a game I really like Devin Carter I don’t even know if he’s going to be there at nine if I’m going to be honest like San Antonio might take him at eight but I really like the idea of trading up for Devin Carter if that is what Miami has circled as their top guy last one we’ll talk about is Rob Dillingham the guard from Kentucky there is a chance he slips there to 15 but maybe Miami doesn’t want to risk it and moves up to get him at nine Dillingham 61 63 wingspan 164 lbs the frame is not good it’s scary to be honest and I think he’ll just be absolutely hunted on the defensive end but there is no denying his offensive upside he is one of the best three-point Shooters in this draft shot over 41% from three last year at Kentucky he came off the bench for caliper and the wild cats and he’s just a Flatout scorer 15 points a game as well he’s maybe the most fluid ball handler and he scores at all three levels I question if he’s going to be able to play through physicality on the offensive end there’s already the defensive concerns but if he gets bumped and they start playing physical type defense that we saw in the postseason um from the t-wolves and the Celtics like is Dillingham going to be able to handle that and yes it’s not expected for him to be a Mas of contributor in this all NBA All-Star type guard year one but if he wants to play in crunch time for Miami then I don’t know if he’s going to be able to handle that and the question with Dillingham as well is if you take him I think this is going to be a video for a different day if they end up taking the guard from Kentucky which obviously there’s that connection as well I don’t know if he works with Rosier and hero like I’m not kidding like I think if they take Dillingham I’m going to be projecting a trade of one of those two guys just how I feel and you might say well Dillingham just going to be six-man Off the Bench lead lead guard Off the Bench like yeah that’s cool but like I don’t think Dillingham and hero could ever play together on the court I don’t think Rosier and Dillingham could ever play on the court together are you going to just never have those two combinations line up like it’s just a disaster and I think they would have to trade one of the two guards that are starting in the back court which might be a good move anyway to help replenish some Wing assets as well and maybe get some draft picks back is um as well um yeah so let’s transition the conversation um to the Jimmy Butler stuff because after the Houston Rockets got all of their picks and it’s rumored that they want to go all in for like a wing piece and Veteran the listed names were Paul George Kevin Durant which I can’t believe ktie is still in trade rumors um Jimmy Butler Brandon Ingram these type of guys and I don’t know if I wanted trade Jimmy but I think the idea is growing on me and you guys know if you’ve watched this channel that I’ve been very adamant about not trading Jimmy Bower I want to win I want to compete but after the Knicks make that move unless you are going out there to make a massive Splash to help Jimmy and Bam like I think trading Butler might be the only sensible move like if you’re plan is to either run it back and add some draft Capital replace Caleb Martin and high Smith and free agent and just see what happens if you’re fully healthy with a full year Rosier hero Jimmy yic bam hakz draft pick blah blah blah like that just simply is not going to cut it if you want to contend in the Eastern Conference what’s our goal here is it to make Mickey Arison money or is it to try to win an NBA championship I have to imagine Pat Riley wants to win an NBA title and if that’s the case then we’re not in the spot to do that so unless you go out and get azma unless you go out and get Donan Mitchell which she still hasn’t signed an extension a Brandon Ingram a Paul George unless you make a wild move to add a significant score in good piece to help Jimmy and Bam then you should trade Jimmy because this team is not going to be be able to contend in the East and I would rather reboot the system if you are not going to make a big move to help out your dynamic duo this off season so Houston is an appealing option because there’s also rumors that they could move off shenon um if you take shenon back and like one first round pick for Jimmy Butler like I’m probably doing that you guys have asked for size shanon’s a floor spacing playmaking Center and Bam could move to the four like I I believe those two would fit together so I don’t know if shenon is the best player and like can be a top two guy on a championship team but if you’re going to go youth movement I would be open to taking shenon back for Jimmy Butler I really would probably be the best player you get back you’d have your front Court of the next 8 to 10 years maybe you move yic to the three I don’t know if he can play it but you can try it um or he can just be your Sixth Man and you run hawy at the three with whatever combination you want in the back court like you can do a lot of different things if you go that way and that’s what Pat Riley is going to have to decide if I’m going to be honest a lot of picks could come your way from Houston and they could be good picks too like like they can be Phoenix Suns picks in the next three to five seasons and they could be really bad once Beal and KD end up leaving so it’s an intriguing scenario it’s an intriguing thought and make sure you are subscribed to the channel because we are going to have you covered throughout the next week and it’s a busy week we got two days of draft coverage today tomorrow we’ll talk about everyone that the heat signed udfa wise on 1. The Champs are the Celtics, the Heat has very little but is fully capable of beating the top teams….you get rid of Jimmy all that would diminish. It's better to keep him and make improvements because a new team would actually be doing Boston a favor, we just need durable players that can keep us out the play in. We can keep it interesting past that point, trading jimmy would be a mistake

  2. Can’t even play Tyler and Terry together. I’m out on Dillingham.

I think it would be a mistake to draft Carter over Holland, especially if we do end up trading Jimmy. Holland gives me future star vibes. Devin Carter does not.

  3. I would rather trade Jimmy than run it back. For Jimmy’s sake. I want him to get s ring, and if we won’t help him, let him go somewhere that is serious about winning.
