Bartlett for the longest hit streak in Ray’s franchise history pretty special I mean what you’re looking at him do right now the Rays over the last nine games have played such good baseball the pitching’s been good but guess what the offense has come to life and look they’ve averaged 6.1 runs a game winning seven out of nine and they’re going to have their hands full going up against George Kirby and George Kirby is one of those guys who pounds the strike zone y Diaz leads it on here A Fly ball in short right of it drop and Z approaching that cautiously and that ball drops in for a base hit and that will give him 19 consecutive games and that will tie Jason Bartlett for the club record in the longest hitting streaks in team history he just got it done in his first St bat take the makes the catch be is going to head to Second and he is in there standing ahead of the throw that’s a really good job of base running there by yand Diaz big time strike out by George Kirby stranding a open the door for a Marner couple of runs here let’s see cash to the mound and that’s going to be it for pepio five and a third called to the bullpen Shan Armstrong on his first appearance in six days his last outing though very good against the twins Runners at first and second two gone top of the sixth so now we’re looking for Cal to pop one out of the ballpark give the Mariners a lead swing to drive there it goes way out of here the Mariners have the lead big Cal with a home run his ninth as a left-hander 14th overall takes his RBI count to 49 hey now so many times if you need something clutch to happen amen brothers are right there in the middle of it in her half 422 ft and just like that it’s 3-1 barers with two outs Kevin Kelly on the mound for the ray ring Rich Garber and he hits the mound and skips this one through into center field Garber who’s been swinging a hot bat wasted no time that may work you stick cou in aboard and it all works out for kzone so D Moore sacrifices himself he moves Garver into third third and canzone into second there is JP Crawford slicing Drive get up yeah it does Garber scores and flying right behind him as canzone two run two out single JP Crawford and amerit have a 5-1 lead here in the seventh really big runs here in the seventh it’s 5 to one Mariners heredes hit by a pitch a couple of walks and now a hit batter and the Rays have the bases loaded with nobody out here in the bottom of the ninth inning and that willing bring the ti run to the plate and Richie palasio and here comes Scott servis on of The Dugout and he’s got to go get Andres Munos who could not throw a strike and Trent Thorton will take over and Rel ground ball right side they get one and second throw to first not in time there a run scores to make it 52 there’s one out first and third and upsteps on M rasario who is still the tying run ground ball here we go 6 4 three rack him Mariners win this game 5 to2 it wasn’t easy no it wasn’t but they were able to get there and I’ll tell you what they they came back today we said they needed to and George Kirby was really good the bullpen was pretty good overall
