A’s vs. Angels Game Highlights (6/26/24) | MLB Highlights

bronzi conteras making his first start with the ball CLP he’s had 30 career starts in the big leags and he actually he’s got a better ER as a starter than he does as a reliever about half a run down and a breaking ball lands on the outside corner for strike three nice job by th is gradually bringing that back in the strike zone to get that call spins that curveball in punch out looking here’s a ground ball that’s hit near second it’s stopped by Neto the short stop throw a little bit low but handled by shell and that’ll be the second out here comes andar he’s hit in 10 of 11 32 that’s dropped into left field and fair it’s going to roll to the wall on doar will have his second double of the series and with two outs the A’s have a man on second one and two Rooker hit at hard on the ground it is stopped by Miguel Sono back in the lineup throws out Rooker the A’s get a double but strand a runner at second base Lancaster California Native it is Joey Estus ninth start of the season coming off of one of his better starts as shanell dumps one to left field has a lead off single that’s a perfect serve at the left field and it brings up Luis Rano with the leadoff man on rifo hammers one down the right field side that’s a base hit rolling toward the wall Shell’s on his way to third looking to pick up Eric Young Senor who throws up the stop sign as the A’s get it in rifo doubles and the angels threaten early Runners still at second and third for the Halos and here comes Willie coun he’s been tough now they’re going to intentionally walk him so the a will not even bother with c Kevin polar righty righty match up here the bases are loaded and now will weekly roll it to short and the throw to first is perfect by Ma Schuman so Joey Estus there’s that momentum you were talking about a scoreless bottom of the first inning and here comes Alvarez humbled by last night’s experience going three for four now he’ll ground it off the glove of Soo Armondo Alvarez will reach first and that might be another oh it absolutely is continue to swing it mcan’s first start of the series left hand hitting receiver for the A’s Alvarez breaking for second check swing by mccan he didn’t go around and no throw Armando Alvarez takes second base well Alvarez was itching he had him timed up it was just a matter of time payoff pitch McAn takes and will walk on over to first chance for the A’s to get the lead here in the second for Max Schuman trying to snap an 0 for 10 02 fly ball left center field pretty well hit Ward going back he looks up it’s off the wall Armondo Alvarez scores mccan is being waved home it’s cut off by Netto and a two RBI double oh no so what you have here is Alvarez having scored and touched home plate and how he will touch mccan and send him back to home plate who missed home plate but what we have is the two players making contact with each other if he touched home plate initially then this won’t matter you see him stumbling oh he definitely didn’t get the plate there yeah he seemed to skip right over it and that’s why Alvarez grabbed him and pushed him back but he can’t do that and because Alvarez touched him a good job there by the home plate umpire he sees the contact there and he calls the runner out so this will be one run instead of two and it will end the inning Here Comes nto Neo’s been hot lately too three homers eight RBI in his last 12 games onew and Joey Estus retires Zack Netto on strikes two strikeouts for Joey Estus and two down in the bottom of the second with Matt Fe coming up and he got him at the top of the Zone one two three inning for Joey and strikeouts one two three on his afternoon one nothing a we’re in the top half of the fourth inning Brent Rooker leads it up line drive fair down the left field line and into the corner Rooker rounds first he will get into second base standing up and a leadoff double starts off the A’s top of the fourth inning of offense a 3-1 pitch that’s taken low he lost him ball four so nean walks and the A’s now have first and second nobody out for Lawrence Butler was is going to go out make move now Wy contras has thrown 61 pitches plan was for around 65 so he’s right there now that will be the end of his day new pitcher is Hans Krauss so he takes over with two runners on first and second no outs and Lawrence Butler a lefty hitter at the plate the bouncing ball to short nto has it they’ll take it to the bag at second he’ll throw a first in time a double play this what the Angels needed there on the play Rooker does advance to Third Base he was the runner at second two outs though and Alvarez will be the next hitter Alvarez it’s a lineer to right field it’s back and it’s caught by polar good job by an Krauss to put up a zero here is Po grounded Out The Bases Loaded in the first that was a huge chance for the Angels since then Estus has not allowed a base runner that got right on the wrist po will take his base PO is on base with two outs and that’s the first Angel to really reach base safely since when EO doubled the second batter of the game so here’s moniac batting now with two outs in the runner on two and two and that’s tipped into mcan’s glove another strike out for Joey Estus we’re through four complet still one nothing Athletics we go to the top of the fifth still a one- nothing ball game now with two outs Soder Strom will be the next batter it’s ball line to the Gap in right center field monc is over and he slides and he makes the catch he nearly overran it but Mickey monc was able to slow himself down long enough to make a nice play to win the inning Matt Moore will be the new pitcher last time we saw him was last Friday so he’s able to rest up a little bit now ready to work here in this game as we go to the sixth inning one- nothing A’s two are gone Tyler Nevin will be the next batter swing and a miss strike three clean inning there for fat here is Rene Foya The Last Angels hit in this game and he has another hit here as he lines one to left center field that opposite field swing again first time since reneer doubled in the first inning that the angels have had a base hit the lead off man is on 32 and Estus pulls the string striking out Taylor Ward who goes down to a knee seven strikeouts for Estus and Estus Strikes Out Miguel Sono that slider working well here in the bottom of the sixth it’s ball four so H’s do up and we’ll see if Mark K wants to make a move going to bring the outing of Joey Estus to an end frustrated no doubt the right-hander but has thrown the ball very well and he’ll turn it over to Austin Adams it’s Luis guor coming off Off the Bench to bat in polar’s place three balls in a strike and that’s ball four so Adams can be wild and now they’re loaded for moniac oh almost H that hit him he’s been hit with the base is loaded and the game is tied and Austin Adams has hit more batters as a relief pitcher than anyone else in all of Baseball hit here gives the Angels the lead it’s 1-1 right now with the bases loaded line drive base H the angels have the lead it scores one it scores two it gets away from andar here comes moniac big papa unloads the bases and the angels have a 4 to one lead this time he didn’t miss that slider upstairs and Rockets it down in the corner for a three-run double just like that after an incredible performance by Estus the Halo with the lead there is Matt dice against new pitcher for Oakland TJ McFarland and there’s a line drive base hit that brings Netto to the plate it’s a five run inning for the Halos and for Matt dice making his way to Second and RBI double Angels add on it’s 5 to one it’s been 5 days since Mason Miller last work for the Athletics the closer comes on in relief in a non-closing situation with the A’s trailing 5 to one Mason making his 29th appearance and there’s the heat from Mason Miller he Strikes Out th and has a clean inning of relief in the bottom of the eight Butler Alvarez and mccan to come up try and keep this game alive the eights are going to have Runners at the corners here with one out in the ninth inning a nine-hole hitter is scheduled Max Schuman a Fly ball to center field should be deep enough to score Alvarez moniac makes the catch won’t test him at the plate and Schuman a sack fly and his second RBI of the afternoon makes it five to2 soigo will have a chance here to end the game against Cameron was 0 for three with three strikeouts and he was hit by a pitch it hard toward short Netto backhand throw a second say good night to the A’s the angels with a clean sweep of their division rival

  1. I’m rather pleased with this young core and their performance so far under a new skipper. Hopefully, a few additions this off-season and the return of Trouty, the GOAT, we’ll be a consistent postseason contender.

    😇🇺🇸☝🏻

  2. Angels: Wow … only 5 walks today and to many 3-1, 3-2 counts to count,,. sometimes the boys can get enough hits and runs to make up this horrendous pitching…..Get some pitching by the deadline but don’t trade any of out guys …. we luv em all…..
