I was higher on Sarr but Zacc was my number two guy, So I’m not mad at the pick. I think some fans went complete Sarr or nothing when this draft class was flat at the top.
Did you know Hunter and Zacc are the only actual 3&D wing Hawks had gotten since Trae was drafted? ….. Bogi, Bey, AJ, are shooters but bad defenders, while Cam, Bufkin good defenders’ questionable shooter.
I think he like a Devin Vassell like prospect but taller. who went 6. but in this draft, he went higher by default. but if actually does become anywhere that good we be glad they pick him one.
I wish Zacc was more of creator for a number pick, however he probably has the best off ball scoring IQ of any player has drafted in a while. That aspect is actually is exciting for me to see develop with Trae and JJ.
He’s a low usage quick decision maker. He very good at moving off ball doing back door cuts etc. That going pair well with Trae rejecting screens and JJ doing short roll pass etc.
Originally, I wanted the FO to address the center issue then look at the wings with trades, but it looks like they be doing it reverse. And Sarr wants to be PF anyways, but we got wait and see what other moves they make.
