I get it, but most of these folks *have to* know they will never make it to the front of the line before he’s long gone. He’ll probably only see a few hundred people at most. Is it only about being around other fans? Like just sharing the afterglow?

Seeing the line makes me feel a little better about my decision to not try and take my 12 week old to get an autograph on her onesie.

I was there. He was only booked for an hour. He had wanted to work the drive-through, but with how much publicity it got, they couldn’t even open the restaurant. Only maybe 100 people got anything signed. Just before 11, the line broke down, and everyone crowded around his exit route. At 11, he came out, thanked the fans from the stage they had set up, and left. It wasn’t Chucky’s fault; whoever set this thing up completely dropped the ball.
They should have had several simultaneous events across Broward so that everyone wouldn’t show up at one event. There had to be about 1500 people there who only got to cheer for him as he left.
Chucky was all class though. He had people pass up their replica Stanley Cups and hoisted them. 🙂
Was a complete shit show. Only met the first 50 fans and dipped after taking some promo pics for Canes. Riot nearly afterwards. Everyone cheered on Tkachuk has he left, but then turned blind rage on the Canes staff
how are people even finding out where to meet them???
Adobe photoshop has come a long way. It’s hard to tell that crowd is just copy and pasted from images of six people.
