[Yankees] Following last night’s game, the Yankees optioned RHP Yoendrys Gómez to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees recalled RHP Jake Cousins (#61) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
I feel like they’ve had such a good reputation with RP all these years, and Blake has done such a great job, that they really assumed they could patch together a good bullpen with anyone.
Definitely back firing this year. It’s okay to have a few projects you think you can fix, but not pretty much the entire bullpen.

The Yankees just will not give the kids extended looks. JD Davis brought in to platoon with Rice even though no one else can hit from 4-9 besides Rice smfh. Trevino starts over Wells regularly even though Trevino has the worst arm and worst pop time in baseball. Gomez sent down for Kirks cousin. Never ends with this team. Wtf do you have to lose with calling up Peraza or Vivas to play 2B or 3rd? At least they bring athleticism and defense compared to a cooked Gleyber Torres and a platoon player in DJ. And Gil is clearly fatigued. Cashman, you’re clueless and a bum.
