Top Ten Head Coaches

What you think?

  1. How can a HC that’s never won a ring as a HC be put above a HC that has a ring? Jw.

  2. How can Jim Harbaugh be a Top 10 coach in the NFL? It’s been like 8 years or something since he was an NFL coach.

  3. Shanahan has never won a SB. Harbaugh has won as many SBs as McVay but has 9 more years as a HC. Not sure how either is ranked above him

  4. I think if you put Mahomes on any of those other teams, that coach becomes number 1.

  5. McVay SHOULD be #2 on any list involving active head coaches. Andy Reid has earned the #1 spot until he retires, but after him I don’t see how you don’t have McVay at 2.

Took over a mediocre rams team, turned Gurley into the most dangerous player in the league, made Jared Goff actually look like a #1 overall pick, and got that team to the Super Bowl. Goes out and makes a massive trade to get “his” QB, wins a ring in year 1. Now here we are 2 years later, when we’re supposed to be stuck in “cap hell”, yet that couldn’t be further from the truth. (Obviously Les is a big part of this, but still)

Edit: also I’m not even a Shanahan hater, I wanted us to hire him at the time. He’s obviously also great, but he’s been given the same luxuries as Sean yet… can’t seem to get the job done when it really matters.

  6. Shanahan is so overrated. Can’t wait to see how he chokes this season.

  7. Hot take: 1.) McVay 2.) Stefanski 3.) Reid

I love Andy Reid’s creativity but he has the new GOAT QB on his team. He also almost lost every Super Bowl he’s played in, first one took a Niners choke and a late comeback to win, second one was a shootout that went up right to the end, third he won in OT when the Niners once again choked and didn’t know the rules. I give Mahomes, Kelce and lately Spagnolo a lot of credit for the Chiefs success, not just Reid.

As far as Stefanski, what he’s been able to do with practically nothing is extremely impressive. Browns have a great defense, but offensively he’s never had consistently great QB play and he’s still won double digit games 2x and I expect them to do so again, and won a playoff game with the fucking BROWNS. I just give coaches a lot of credit who don’t have elite QBs and weapons out the ass and still find ways to win games consistently, especially in such a tough division.

Oh and Shane Steichen is the next coach who will ascend to this list. I’d actually already put him ahead of Ryans.
