Chris Sail started his career here in Chicago with the white sock for seven seasons and he faces them today third time he’ll pitch against his team in this ballpark his original team let’s take a look at the Timeline here for Chris S originally drafted back in 2010 by these white socks and then ended up making his debut pretty quickly in a white socks uniform of course 13th overall pick and it was a really good career here for him with the Chicago White Soxs seven years five times he was an All-Star in this uni for him sixth most strikeouts in franchise history 2015 though was a really strong year for him he led the American League he also set a franchise record with 274 strikeout Jack Co going to the mound and this is his fourth game last time out we saw him he ate up a lot of innings out of the bullpen and that probably propelled what’s happening here today I would assume that the socks are going to let him go as long as he’s effective and we’ll see how long that is 31 is chopped on two hops over to the first baseman vaugh he’ll flip it to the pitcher at the bag for the out a alz goes to Center and Robert Jr will make the catch for the second out 32 Co one back out there but it’s called Ball Four here’s the onew and he Strikes Out olon Swinging 10 wins in his first 14 starts with the Braves everything seems to be going right here with Chris S and what he has done against the American League Central going back to 2018 has also been pretty special for the Lefty he will try to become the first starter to reach 11 wins this year in Major League Baseball and that is right down the middle fam knew it and Chris Sail starts the ball game off from the bottom of the First with a strike out Tapper out to Second charging and gloving ozie alz from the grass throws over and two down here in the inning what’s amazing about Luis Robert Jr he is so talented no matter what kind of a streak he’s on he can turn around with one it back Luis Robert Jr cranks one deep to left and it is gone into the bullpen one nothing in the first what a great job by Lis Robert Jr yanking his hands into his belly and letting the barrel get on a slider that was up and in on him just a real nice position to that bat to keep that pitch Fair Robert with his eighth home run tucked it just inside the pole and left swinging a Miss change up gets him menz but Luis Robert Jr with a solo Homer it’s one to nothing Paul De Young will start off this bottom the second inning he induces a popup off the bat of Paul D young long run and Duval is able to get there Olen was there as well but that was Adam Duval’s baseball and he makes the play he’s done that a lot get strikeouts that’s three already today as he gets Cory jul swinging this ball is hit off the bat of Sosa to deep left Center but the ball park will hold it wall brings it in and we are on to the third inning Adam dval who gets the start in right today batting just 166 on the season swing and a miss strike three on a slider nice pitch from Chad cool second strike out in this inning going three strong one nothing white socks as the Braves fan out behind Chris seil he’ll be facing mck Mado and fam onew is softly lined in the left and it’ll drop down for a base hit there goes Danny bck throw down to Second and mic overruns the bag but gets back safely that’s in there Martin Maldonado down looking four strikeouts first time through the order for Chris sail sail deals got him got the call and with that St out Chris Sail is now over 2300 in his major league career one- nothing White Sox into the top of the fourth inning as Azie Al climbs in righty Lefty match up that is fair and pass the diving vaugh at first A’s lost his helmet but he has a double standing up good start for Atlanta here in the fourth inning Chad Co did a terrific job coming in in basically an emergency starter and Justin Anderson on for the 19th time lately he’s thrown it pretty well he’s going to have to because he inherits the time run at second base the middle of the order du up 3-2 pitch just missed low and he has now walked in both plate appearances and they have two on with nobody out for Matt Olen shallow left Center and it’ll be Robert to make the catch he and julks and D young were all in the area that’s the first out and it’ll bring up Austin Riley called strike three slider on the outside corner Chris seagull has given an inch or two off that corner on occasion today swinging a Fly ball pulled to left julks over and he’ll make the catch Brave strand two nice work Justin Anderson and Lis Robert J goes the other way just dinks it in right field his second hit today that Homer in the first that’s the difference in the ball game and now a single here in the fourth ground ball sail tried to get it it eats Azie up wow oh my goodness they turn the double play anyway how did they do that Azie was able to flip it just in time to Orlando Aria and then Aria with a little Orlando Magic to somehow throw it on to first for the double play and then sail gets the strike out and we are on to the fifth inning the Homer by Luis Robert Jr in the first inning that’s the difference in the ball game outside of that though Chris S has been Chris S he’s been really good now he missed outside you can see sail’s frustration as he walks the left fielder Jules here to start the fifth they got Jules leading tag is applied and he is erased swing and a miss for seamer seven strikeouts for Chris saila really well located when you’re looking for that swing and Miss we’ve seen a lot of pitches away of course you got to worry about the slider down the change up down but this big time fast ball from Chris Sail plays really well at that part of the strike zone sail in search of strikeout number eight one to the fast ball and gets mck to swing and Miss make that strike out number eight for Chris Sail he’s got two here in the inning Chris Sail back out there to face Maldonado famine B 912 and he has looked so good three straight strike outs now for sail make it nine on the game and another strike out double digits 10 now for sail as he takes care of Tommy F Andrew vaugh is into second with a two out double so that stops the strikeout streak sa at Kade four in a row weekly to the left side RC has got a hurry got him bang bang play that’s the third out sail through six still one to nothing on to the home half of the seventh pitchers duel here one to nothing Chris Sail 10 strikeouts big bouncer kangaroos out to Azie he back hands gets it out of the glove throws over and one down here in the seventh inning did he go yes he did season High 11 strikeouts for Chris Sail against his former team here today julks grounds it to Riley so sail’s done his part 104 pitches for Chris he’s given up just one run and has 11 strikeouts got to get him some run support we head to the top of the eighth inning rebia comes on for the 34th time his ra 5 and a half but lately he’s thrown a whole lot better than that which is one of the reasons why in a game where the socks have the lead late reia comes into the ball game with the bottom part of the order do up Orlando Aria doesn’t mind the Shadows single out to Center here with one out in the eighth inning the pitch is low it’s ball four so the Braves are rallying here in the eight they have two on but here’s Azie alz Al pops it up shattered his Bat right out in front of Home Plate Maldonado will make the catch as he infield fly rule was in effect so two down and it’s up to Marcelo Zuna need a big base hit and this is the man who’s delivered so many times this year hit in the air deep right fam is back at the fence he’s got it to end the inning oh Zuna can’t believe it cuz he crushed it but the white socks get out of the jam and Michael copc comes on for the 33rd time looking for his sixth save so E6 gives the Braves new life with two outs here in the ninth hit in the air center field not deep Robert is under it he’s got it the white sock get a one nothing win over the Braves their first one- nothing win at home since 2018
