EJECTION ALERT 🚨 Royals’ manager Matt Quatraro ejected after arguing a baserunning call | ESPN MMA

H one run throw on the ground to the left side charging Ramirez trying to get the tag applied and he’s out Lofton out trying to advance to third he said he got around it and I believe the call was he went out of the base path from trip [Music] Gibson it’s going to be an interesting call and discussion because Lofton has to give the Fielder the right to feeli the play so boom he’s getting out of the way so what is it are you giving him the right to make a clean play and not run into him or are you avoiding the tag I would argue right now if I’m Kansas City I’m trying to avoid a collision which he’s got an excellent point there I I yeah that’s that wasn’t the right call by the Umpire there and now looks like Matt petero has been ejected from this ball game by trip [Applause] Gibson so the argument continues as we step aside in case

Watch as Kansas City Royals’ manager Matt Quatraro was ejected from the game after arguing an outside the baseline call. The Royals went on to take down the Cleveland Guardians, 2-1.

  1. ESPN, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO SAY THAT "THE ROYALS WON THE GAME OF THE FINAL OF 2-1 AGAINST THE GUARDIANS AFTER THE TEAM PUT UP 2 RUNS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 6TH INNING TO GET TO THEIR 45TH WIN OF THE SEASON. C'MON ESPN. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

  2. Runner clearly runs more than 3-feet from his basepath to avoid a tag from Ramirez. Those demanding he has to cede ground to the field … well yes, but only until the fielder actually gets the ball. He clearly changes his direction AFTER Ramirez gets the ball. That's it. He's not avoiding the fielder to prevent interference … he's just trying to avoid getting tagged.

  3. You get 3 feet from the time you're trying to avoid the tag. So, your basepath starts once he starts to make an attempt to tag the runner.

Doesnt look like 3 feet to me.
