  1. I find it funny how we are always “apparently” interested in Michigan born players lol

  2. The problem is money. They have around 31 million in cap space and over half of that will go to Seider and Raymond plus 7 more players. Hes going to likely want 5 million. That would leave 11 million to sign 6 players, including increasingly likely Ghost, Veleno, and 4 more players. The math doesn’t work out well currently. If we had the money, I’d rather not jump on a middle tier d man just because he’s from Michigan. We don’t need to overspend on another middle tier guy.

  3. Well, he’s genuinely good and really good in his own end, so I’d be pretty in favor of this so long as it’s not a crazy contract. He could do wonders for easing Seider’s minutes. But on the other hand, it would be another late 20s signing that carries into his mid 30s where his most useful years would be spent on a team not contending. It’s very important that we add a guy to help Seider, so I wouldn’t be as turned off by this as I was like Copp, Holl, and Chiarot (even if OT Benny has grown on me).

  4. I’m really hoping for this to pan out. He’s a defensemen that can truly help out Seider. I can see him getting a 4×4-5 contract.

  5. I’ve mentioned before that he and his wife just had their first baby. Both of them are from Michigan and I think Detroit is a great spot not just for hockey reasons but personal ones as well. Will continue to campaign hard for him to land here.

  6. Expectations set. Will yell at Stevie if this dosen’t happen. Any upgrades to RHD is massive.
