The Canucks Are Going To Be A FORCE Next Season!

The Canucks Are Going To Be A FORCE Next Season!

earlier this month I made a video titled damn Dakota it was nice knowing you I thought for sure he was gone once his asking price was revealed but now I’m back eating crow on that prediction not only is he back for four years he’s back at an excellent price $ 3.25 million is a steal when you look at the rumors that Eiserman was willing to pay $4 million if those rumors are to be believed then Dakota Joshua did the opposite of a HomeTown discount he took a discount to play on the other side of the contest but I guess that makes sense when you compare Detroit and Vancouver also what’s going on with the iser plan it’s starting to seem like an iser fail especially when you look at the price that they paid to get rid of Jake Walman I would have loved to see the Canucks jump all over that contract 3.4 million for a Bonafide top four Defender man that would have been nice but back to the topic at hand The Gauntlet has been thrown down and Dakota Joshua has to come back next season and earn every penny of his contract it was amazing these last two seasons seeing him outperform as $825,000 contract he gave the Canucks a ton of surplus value and allowed them to squeeze out some extra victories now the challenge for him is can he outperform a $3 million contract can he come back next season and play at the level of a $5 million player can he score 20 can he score 25 this organization has shown an incredible amount of trust in him from giving him his first one-way deal to now giving him his first long-term extension in the NHL it’s his job to repay the faith that this organization has shown in him him now I was busy typing up a script just for Dakota Joshua but Alvine is the hardest working GM in the league now we have to talk about Tyler Myers 3×3 is a little rich but you have to consider that this guy will lay his nuts on the line for a victory Archer seov deserves full credit for the shut out in game six against Nashville but we have no idea where this series may have gone without this block Tyler Myers made quite the sacrifice he may not be able to have another child and for that alone the third year is warranted I would have rather seen Dylan Dello on this team however he resigned in Winnipeg and it looks like he’s the one that set the market he got 4.9 million but he is younger and probably better than Myers so in that context $3 million is not too bad how much money does that leave the Canucks with to sign more free agents well according to cap friendly approximately $15 million to sign four players once you factor in Tucker Pullman’s ltir relief now doall is saying that their first Target is gensel and their second target is tanv according to my calculations they should really only be able to sign one of them unless somehow you can convince gensel to sign for eight and tanv to sign for four which is unlikely because both of these veterans are probably looking to cash out on most likely what’s going to be their last contracts in the league so they can sign gel and try to fill the rest of the roster in with bargain options or they can sign t PV which would allow them enough cap space to probably also sign zador off signing zadorov and Myers would give them the deepest defense in the league but there’s one problem it would leave a gaping hole in their top six it is entirely possible that they fill it with a b-level option like duclair or tley Jim Rutherford has also expressed confidence in the abilities of Jonathan leaki maybe he is the best option on the right wing for alas Pon but knowing this Management Group they’re going to let him cook in the miners before rushing him to the NHL this is not the gym Bing era anymore players are not going to be rushed into the NHL and Veterans will be shown the respect that they deserve this organization is not going to run out of time anymore to sign their free agents let’s continue this conversation down in the comment section what do you think of the canu signings today and what route do you think they should take zadorov an tanv or gel if you guys have made it this far please show a small YouTube channel some love by by liking this video and subscribing I will see you guys next time and until then cheers

On the eve of the 2024 NHL Draft, Patrik Allvin got ahead of 31 general managers and made significant moves. He has re-signed both Dakota Joshua and Tyler Myers! As it stands, the Canucks have approximately 15 million dollars of cap space to sign 4 players. They are going big game hunting! In this video, I break down today’s flurry of moves.

  1. so we have the same players back. Thats not going to cut it. We need new younger players and add a few veterans if its the same team we might as well except the fact next years a write off.

  2. The dominos fell today. Anyone who wanted to stay was given the price. They either said yes or no. Big Z will not be be with this team next year. You cant pay full dollar for every player. They will sign value players to fill holes and hopefully make a splash with a player like Guentzel because a player like him can not be filled by value players.

  3. okay where all all the media guys that said he was gone? I dont see them stepping up to say t hey were wrong. They were absolutely wrong. Now they are all stumbling around saying they never said it. Yes they did say it and now they are taking even worse guesses Basically they are overzealous fans not professionals at all

  4. Dak is awesome at a hometown discount. Would have rather seen the Hronek 8M go to 2nd line wingers. Hog-Petey- and a 3-4M winger is not gonna cut it for a second line.

  5. Yzerman paid $5.6mil/season for Andrew Copp, so if he paid $4mil/season for DJ it's probably not a bluff…

If Canucks get Guentzel, they would just use the rest of their cap space for Dillon plus some bargain bin reclamation projects. Maybe sign Justin Schultz for $1-2mil/season?

  6. In PA and Rutherford we trust what was it 8 Years of Benning and he couldn't build a team and always overpaid in Free Agency. Now we have PA and Rutherford who seemingly seem to get the players that the team needs at discounts.

  7. We need to sign Guantzel to make it a successful offseason, otherwise it's basically the same team as last year and at best we would be third in the west (behind Edmonton and Dallas).😢

  8. Zadorov should have been taken care of BEFORE Myers. Personally, I think Myers should have been cut loose. He’s the only one on the team that is consistently making me facepalm. But, if we are keeping him it should have been taken care of AFTER signing Zadorov.

I also think Lekeriamaki (spelling?) will get some time in the show this year to test his readiness. He should get 3-5 games in a row to see how he fares and then we can go from there.

  9. Where did you hear Brenden Dillon signed with the Jets? Capfriendly nor Puckpedia have anything on that. Demelo Signed for $4.9.

  10. We have 14.5mill cap space. We could sign guentzel for 8.5-9mill and tanev for 4-4.5mill. Tanev wants to be a canuck too. Only issue is that we probably have to resign both silovs and desmith

  11. I like building the defence and then letting young players earn the offensive spots. It takes time to learn to play defence in the NHL; offence comes naturally. I like what the management group is doing. Another good show again

  12. Walman was a cap dump. Don’t get how people don’t get that. Was also a defensive liability. I liked him, but I’m not upset to see him gone.
