How much impact will the Celtics’ ’24 draft picks have next season?
the Celtics choosing to go with two guys who played five years of college ball meaning that they’ve got experience so philosophically them going in that direction as opposed to what we saw you know last year Jordan Walsh a 19-year-old kid who played one year in college what does that tell you I so I don’t know this to be true but this is just my guess that what it tells me is they’re looking for players to play we have to understand like the cap restrictions it’s hard to really understand the second apron Chris forsberg can talk about the second apron but like when you draft these guys sometimes we they’re not throwaway picks these guys are really important to come in and play at the value that they are players do get better over time and having a player 23 24 that’s always already grown into his role that’s a much better position to go and be ready for the NBA once you get out there I think about pton Pritchard whenever when they drafted him everyone was like oh fouryear guy 22 how is he going to develop here and sometimes you just need a guy who’s ready to step in and can kind still develop grow and pton continues to make progress so don’t think there’s just a ceiling on them just because they’re older they’re going to nurture them and find a way to develop them and if they can help this year on a championship caliber roster then all the better we got to understand this the Boston Celtics are set up to have their core guys here for the next three four years right so these are just plug and play guys like okay if we need some extra minutes from somewhere where some guys got to take rest like scal was saying but for the most part you want to get guys who are readymade right now when you are a readymade right now team and you’re not looking to develop and build you know you’re going to develop these players obviously you know that’s what you’re going to do but when you’re not looking to get a project and say we got three four years to make him right no we want to get somebody right now that could help us within the next one to two years three years possibly and see what we could do with that and I mean that’s the reason why you go with older players
Brian Scalabrine, Chris Forsberg and Eddie House say the Celtics’ draft picks were win now moves since both Baylor Scheierman and Anton Watson were 5-year college players.

it was GREAT PICK! knowing STEVEN he did not sleep figuring it out after the great parade! but greater still is, if TATUM was already in the gym fixing his SHOOTING TOUCH after the great parade, he needs to fix it, he cannot wait for it to come. YES if you are younger be patient it will come, but he is already 26 he is not young per NBA standard as a player! FIX IT if Tatum wants the MICHAEL JORDAN TROPHY – SACRIFICE the time with Duece, SACRIFICE the time with his business! SACRIFICE his time with EVERYTHING except training to regain the shooting touch! hire a million shouting coach if necessary or the hire the best among them, he needs help he CANNOT regain his shooting touch by just doing it on his on! i HOPE YOUR TATUM has realize this! and is doing something with it ASAP!
