Waka dials up 96 for his first K of the night woo man oh man hey look we’re not used to seeing him at that level of that Mark but man he’s putting that by him and you know that Walker being the veteran this game one of four here he wants to set a tone switch hitting third baseman batting left-handed Jose Ramirez having another MVP type season swung on line to left that’s a base hit well you give Jose Ramirez the second chance and he delivers with an opposite field single and he went down and got that ball and shot it in the left for a two- out single in comes a pitch and a change up swung on and miss and down goes Naylor two strikeouts in the inning rightand Ben Lively on the mount Ben’s making his 13th start but he’s been very consistent he’s allowed three or fewer runs in 11 of his first 12 starts and the club is eight four in those starts the onew Bulls side Garcia out looking at a fast ball 90 mph here’s one of the elite players in the game Bobby Whit Jr swung on line and Quan cruises into second base with a double and now the Guardians have the game’s best scoring opportunity second and third nobody out here in the fifth inning so walk is in a jam two in scoring position nobody out swung on and there’s a highfly ball to Right Center under it is Renfro he makes the catch tagging heading for home and scoring is Freeman as the throw came into third Freeman scores the game’s first run and the Guardians Take the Lead Locka one two hit on the ground Garcia’s there and Ramirez is out okay got himself out perfect CLA goes to third doesn’t get a ton easier we have Josh Naylor comes coming to the plate now he might be 0 for two but he’s got the third most RB in the American League smack to deep left Melendez is back onto the track up against the fence he out of the inning down one nothing to the sixth so runner at second one out Gabriel Arius comes to the plate he is 0 for two AR smacks one to center field that will get down him is coming around third to have to stop him yeah he couldn’t he didn’t get the read off of it is Bell got off a good throw to the cut off man in the center of the diamond but the Guardians have him at the corners with one out and that result leads to the pitching change five in a third Innings of one-run ball for Michael Waka as it stands now there are runners on first and third with one out and it’s up to Lefty Sam long to keep him from scoring the onew swung out and Miss strike three a huge second out Sam long got exactly what he needed in that spot so the bases are loaded for Steven Quan second time today that Quan’s come to the plate with the bases loaded long delivers got him swinging strike three one of the hardest batters in the game to strike out and long does it to strand The Bases Loaded that’s momentum you get that swinging back in your your Dugout now let’s see if these guys can put the ball in play like they did in the eighth inning yesterday lifted to right schneeman back pedals and it’s statement everybody’s on their feet at Kaufman Stadium it’s a dribbler MacArthur’s got it makes the play Royals win they take down the best team in the American League two to one the final and they win game one of this four game series
