Friedman also says in the clip that teams believe that CBJ “is motivated to do something big” and “would like to make a splash.” So that indicates that this isn’t the normal phony “We might trade down” rumors we hear every draft.
For me, if the price to trade up with #12 and get Demidov is only two late first round picks (Florida and Colorado’s), you 100% pull the trigger. We can recoup extra 1sts in a Laughton trade or even a TK trade. (Acquiring Demidov would absolutely change the long-term need for TK)
If my time running franchises in EA has taught me anything it’s that this is a slam dunk no brainer of a move.
But in all seriousness love that Danny is trying to move up and I think this is pretty reasonable an ask

You do this for a 1C or 1D, not another winger like Femidov. They would target either Lindstrom or Buium.
