[Cardinals] RHP Gordon Graceffo has been selected from Memphis (AAA). He will be making his Major League debut and will wear #67. RHP Kyle Leahy has been optioned to Memphis. To make room on the 40-player roster, LHP Steven Matz has been transferred to the 60-day IL.

Assuming they will piggyback him with AP
Yay! I was really impressed with him the times I saw him pitch in Springfield, I hope he does well.
Also, starring in this summer’s biggest movie: Steven Matz in ‘Mike Leake 2: the Re-Leakening’!
I don’t really know what to do with PCL pitchers’ lines in terms of translation to MLB. On the one hand, the PCL is so hitter-friendly these days that I assume a 4.46 FIP like Graceffo’s isn’t actually horrible. On the other hand, the quality of competition difference is obviously pretty huge.
Here’s hoping Graceffo can chew up some innings and maybe even show that he can start if we have another rotation injury.
I know this guy from middle school/high school and used to play with him way back when. I’ve been following his journey, really cool to see him make it! Will be cheering on #67!!!
