BLUE JACKETS MAKE A SURPRISING TRADE WITH THE ST LOUIS BLUES… COLUMBUS SAYING GOODBYE TO TEXIER

Alexandre texier everybody he is a Columbus Blue Jackets forward right it says CBJ on Elite prospects it says CBJ on the profile it says that he’s unsigned with the Blue Jackets and he’s a 24 year-old from groba France Alexandre texier is a guy that the Blue Jackets have had all year right so why exactly is it that when we see the news of a contract extension via his agent Dan Mill milstein tweets this out congratulations to Texa of the St Louis Blues on signing a 2year extension Alexandre texier signs 2-year contract we are gold star and then the replies are hilarious is he not playing for the Blue Jackets I feel like I missed a chapter here blues or Blue Jackets when did he get to St Louis and then it turns out he actually did get traded to St Louis but the Tweet here came before the Tweet where we actually learned that the trade happened so Alexandre texier is no longer a blue jacket he is a blue and that will never not be funny to me never not be funny to me did I say that properly I don’t know that’s always going to be funny to me because the Blue Jackets and the blues share the same first syllable but when it comes to Alexandre texier this is a guy that I think is going to be given a pretty good opportunity to showcase more of himself in St Louis the blues are getting themselves a good one because when it comes to texier Not only was this guy a very good Finnish Liga player back when he was how old was he 19 years old yeah he was 19 back then eventually worked his way up into the NHL had a 20po season in 36 games played in 2021 2022 and then he went back to Switzerland he actually got homesick that was the reported issue there and texier was allowed he was given permission by the Blue Jackets to take some time off from the organization they sent him over to Europe he played there but then upon his return he wasn’t really the same only getting 30 points in 78 games played now sure that’s a career-high in goals and assists but the games played was double pretty much what he had had in Prior years texier unfortunately just did not have that same bite but getting sent over to a new team new change of scenery new faces new organization this will give Texa a chance to reset and of course I think for a lot of Blue Jackets fans who have watched this guy and have become familiar with him over the years that’s all we really want to see right I’m seeing a lot of Blue Jackets fans who are kind of disappointed with the return like hey this is a guy whom you could debate is worth a lot more than a fourth round pick the blues are taking advantage of texi and his let’s just say unfortunate situation with his family and his desire to be with his folks because he had subpar season afterwards and now they’re taking advantage on that for cheap fourth round pick really is not much in comparison to what texier provides he himself was a second round pick back in 2017 and eventually worked his way up to being a middle six caliber scorer in the NHL but that is indeed the contract here 2-year extension do we have any numbers on that or is it just two years okay let’s actually try to look this up a little bit more here yeah so texier texier texier yeah no there isn’t really anything here Sarah and LeBron are just saying the blues have acquired texier but honestly I don’t anticipate a contract like this 2 years long to being anywhere near like $34 million a year like it’s probably going to be somewhere under three if not around the $2 million range we’ll take a look at that later when the contract number comes out but for now let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and this short video of Alexandre texier getting traded from the Blue Jackets to the blues what are your thoughts on this revival project for St Louis and if you’re a Columbus Blue Jackets fan how does it make you feel to see your guy get shipped off for a fourth round pick thoughts in the comment section below I hope you enjoyed this British roll 99 and bye
