NHL Trade – CBJ Trades Alex Texier to St Louis Blues

we have another NHL trade to discuss ahead of the NHL draft the Blue Jackets have traded Alex texier we’ll discuss the details coming up next so welcome back to another video here at Top Shelf hockey as I mentioned we have another trade to discuss here ahead of the NHL draft this is about an hour or so before the draft coverage begins on television looks like it’s going to be a really cool atmosphere at the sphere in Las Vegas I expect more movement and details to emerge in other trades through to evening but for now uh we do have a details between blues and the Blue Jackets the Blue Jackets have traded Alex texier to St Louis in exchange for a fourth round pick Alex texier is currently was currently a restricted free agent to be he has since signed a 2-year deal with the St Louis Blues at 2.1 million has about 200 games experience but I think he’s about 6’1 200 lbs left shot centerman um decent player who should be able to play in the in the middle of a lot of teams lineups so uh for St Louis I think this is a pretty good uh opportunity obviously Columbus and new GM Donell is kind of turning things over there uh and there’s lots more um rumors around lots of different things that the Blue Jackets are working on so we’ll be curious to see what else Don wadell Cooks up tonight I know the fourth overall pick is something that’s uh supposedly in play as well we’ll have to wait and see obviously it’s going to be a very busy night we’ve had lots of other activity today lots of content here on the channel so certainly stay tuned we’ll be uh poting lots more here throughout the evening so for right now Alex texier Goes to St Louis for a fourth round pick then signs a 2-year contract extension a $2.1 million uh so pretty good deal on both sides obviously like I said Dell really cleaning up and turning things over in uh in CBJ so we’ll see what else they do this evening let me know your thoughts on this deal down in the comments we’ll discuss further if you’re new to the channel make sure you subscribe and stick around we’ll keep you up to date with all the things around the NHL draft free agency trades trade rumors and more so make sure you subscribe to top shelf hockey so you don’t miss anything and I’ll catch you next time [Music]
