[LeBrun] Hearing that the Blackhawks offered next year’s 1st Rd pick, unprotected, plus another pick, in return for the fourth overall pick. Believe it came pretty close but the Blue Jackets passed. They really love Lindstrom and couldn’t pass up taking him

  1. Jesus. Imagine if the Hawks came out of this draft with Levshunov and Demidov.

That would have been an all-timer.

  2. That’s so hard for a team to just pull out of the top 10 draft like that. Understandable

It’s hard to believe hawks will have a high pick like this again anyway

  3. KD is aware if he wanted Demidov so bad he literally had first dibs on him right?

Isn’t next years draft supposed to be better? Unless he does a ton of work before the season starts I see no reason why next years pick won’t be top 5. I don’t see the logic here.

  4. I’d have given up 2025 pick, #18, Toronto’s pick next year and a prospect. If they were willing to give up that much to get Demidov, I’m shocked they wouldn’t do a little bit more.

  5. I’m glad he didn’t get it, there is so many elite playmakers in the draft next year and we really need one of them. But I’m also glad he’s trying this stuff, not too many GMs with the balls to make a move like this right now.
