  1. This is awesome – can’t have him leave for nothing

Either trade or lose his offensive skill set

  2. Whether we for sure trade him or for some reason keep him, this is two summers in a row he’s done us a solid. Take it easy on the slandering on this dude

  3. Hell fucking yes! This is so huge!

Not picking up the option would’ve been a disaster for us.

  4. Trade him or build a roster that can deal with his inevitable playoff drop (Trade him)

  5. Whether he stays or gets traded, this is a W. I don’t see a possible MLE player that’s better than DLo

  6. Thank you DLo, now we have another trade asset. Time for Pelinka to make something shake.

  7. one less thing to worry about. such a shame that he’s not a playoff riser (lacks athleticism).. he’s a good player & nice fit

  8. I just pee’d a little omg we might be back in business.

I was kinda down on what we look like next year just because the lack of flexibility. This opens options up AND worse case we dont lose him for nothing. Hoping for a trade

  9. There were so many people who were adamant he wouldn’t pick this up.

Who else was gonna give him $19m this year?

  10. Best case scenario for D’Lo and the Lakeshow, this gives us a lot more versatility whether it’s keeping him in P&G or in a trade.

  11. Honestly pretty happy so far with the offseason gotta say, DLO comes back, we get a solid pick in the draft, and we got rid of ham for a guy who seems to REALLY care about doing well for the team

  12. Pop the champagne, fam. This is a major W for the Lakers. Now we hold much needed flexibility in the trade market. Worse case we run it back with Dlo.

  13. If the past half decade of playoff runs have shown us anything, it’s that camaraderie, chemistry, and just overall good vibes matter a ton for late season success. Genuine friendship translates onto the court, it just does. At every level. So, I love this.

  14. I would even take D’lo over Sexton. We know what D’lo does and how he fits with LBJ and Davis. And if JJ can improve the offensive system, we may not need a huge move at all.

Still should go out and get a Josh Richardson and a big
