NBA Trade Rumor – Teams are calling the Utah Jazz about Lauri Markkanen

there’s a new trade rumor about low Markin and let’s talk about it it’s the Hoops nerd [Music] show okay guys this trade rumor comes from Jake fiser and this is a really interesting one let’s look at it Jake fer says at this point the Jazz are expected to prioritize finding an extension agreement with marinin sources said and Utah officials made that clear during their approach for bridges that won’t stop rival teams from calling and registering their interest in marinin with the hope that Utah could decide to punt like Brooklyn if the Jazz aren’t able to secure someone close to a second star for Markin all right there’s a lot going on there obviously it looks like the Utah Jazz are looking to renegotiate that contract with lari marinin that’s at least what their focus is right now but because of the CBA and because of the way no negotiations work that likely won’t happen till August the Jazz could do that this Sunday when free agency opens but that would only be for an extension but since Lowry marinan only makes 17 million this year he’s not going to do that because he’s going to be worth much more the Jazz in August could renegotiate his contract and use their cap space to add to it and that’s part of the reason why the Jazz have so much cap space this off season but they cannot do that until August because that is the anniversary of when he signed his latest contract now the thing that’s interesting about this is two things really other teams are calling the Jazz we know for a fact other teams are calling the Jazz it was reported last year it was happening last year’s trade deadline pre-last year this last offseason and it’s happening now the Jazz are getting calls and teams are hoping that the Jazz do what the Brooklyn Nets did with male and it certainly seems very possible why because the Jazz keeps striking out on other free agents that they were report reportedly interested in they were reportedly interested in male Bridges and that comes from Jake fiser multiple times saying the Jazz did try but the Jazz did not want to pay price that the New York Knicks did for male Bridges and now we just saw the trade for Deonte Murray going to the Pelicans the Jazz did not want to pay that price either that was too uh two first round picks and a young player or two Utah didn’t want to do that well what’s next we’re seeing some Rumblings about Paul George maybe just resigning with the Clippers maybe going to the Philadelphia 76ers potentially the Golden State Warriors Paul George ain’t coming to Utah and then now I guess it’s Brandon Ingram but I don’t know if the Jazz if the Jazz didn’t want to give anything for Deonte Murray are they really going to want to give anything for Brandon Ingram it certainly doesn’t sound like it and that that last line where it says if the Jazz aren’t able to secure someone close to a second star for Markin so basically at this point there’s not a lot of stars left at least that we know about you there could be some trade out there that we haven’t heard some player that’s potentially available but it’s starting to sound like the Utah Jazz might be going for Cooper flag and sending marinin somewhere to get another another Hall let me know in the comments what you think is there someone out there the Jazz can actually trade for or you think it’s time to go for Cooper flag # Capture the Flag guys like And subscribe to the channel and also a huge shout out to the members I’m excited for the season to come up to get our live streams back I miss them I miss the members guys I will talk to you next time

The latest NBA trade rumor is that the Utah Jazz are getting calls about Lauri Markkanen with rival GMs hoping the Jazz will change their mind about whether or not they keep them. The Jazz have had all sorts of rumors swirling about Lauri Markkanen but they’re putting out the message that they are working on a re-negotiation. But at what point is that all just smoke and mirrors? At some point there are no free agents in the NBA left and the Jazz will have to make a move.

  1. I'm glad they're finally not trying to rush the rebuild. No more of these half-hearted tanks.

Plus, the FA market drying up is a great thing if the Jazz want to trade any of their older players this Summer. Likely get more value than before.

  2. Off topic, but Isaiah Collier's first interview went down on Fanatics, and that dude is pissed he got drafted 29. I think he's about to go crazy in summer league. Keynote George better watch out or he gon' lose he spot.

  3. I really REALLY get annoyed by utah jazz content that focuses so much on trading LM. they hear part of an interview. pick out the big words and make things decisions and shorts on this. instead of logical discussions. then they follow other national media who only really think about marketshare and want LM in a bigger market to help them with content. in DA's conference there was some things said about this that must have gotten missed or over looked (tried my best to get it word for word) first he states "we do have assests, we do have flexabiltiy, we don't want to go from the 23rd best team to the 18th by giving up a buch of things. That's not our objective, our objective is longevity and quality going forward" he talked about being better, trading our best player for future chances is not being better. he also talk a lot about how the draft is uncertain, you really need the 1st or 2nd pick to be franchase alter. then he goes on to talk about "our object is to find a player or two and we are ready to roll, we are ready to go big game hunting, and that hasn't happened in the last 2 years. but if we start all over then we are 2 or 3 years 4 years possiably from being anywhere, we feel we are closer than that, and we feel we have a chance we are going all in this summer to try to figure out what we can do to get better, when I say all in I don't mean championship in it's or bust, our mindset is we are doing only to win. Thats our objective thruh.. till we get to july. if we dont' do anything, don't land anything we don't make any deals then our direction can change." this is where people get hung up on.. July is just around the corner, they tried to get better and not give away their future to just go from 23rd best to 18th best.. like he mentioned. and as he mentioned come july things can change as far as the direction. I really REALLY want to hear quality Jazz chat not just the regertated national media and twitter summary crap.. I love your enthusiasm as a host, but the content needs to get better. it needs to be broader than worrying about a % chance at getting the next number 1.. anyone who works with data can tell you being the worst team in the NBA doesn't guarantee a top 1 or 2 picks. getting Flag does not guarantee a championship. let's move on from this trade LM concepts you keep focusing on. this is said with all due respect.

  4. There are always trade rumors and most of them never happen and most trades that actually happen take everyone by surprise. This is a waste of time.
Laurie is very good, and that is why teams want him. Danny would be really stupid to trade such a great player.

  5. Yeah, and the Jazz were supposedly trading for Mikal Bridges, and then we were supposedly trading up to get Stephon Castle. These rumors are rubbish!

  6. The jazz are always making some bad decision when it comes to trades. Always getting rid of their best players. As a business that’s smart. But you have to win too.

  7. I think they can extend Markkanen AND play Capture The Flagg. With how stacked the west is, the Jazz will be firmly in the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes next year if they keep Markkanen and don't add veteran talent. Let the young guys make mistakes, figure out who's part of the future, and position for a top 8 pick next year. No need to trade Lauri… young players don't win games!
