Rangers vs. Orioles Game Highlights (6/28/24) | MLB Highlights | Baltimore Orioles

Albert Suarez has been a great story for the Orioles couple of shaky starts in know he’ll look to get back on yeah a little bit of control issues Le know he’s walked 11 guys in his last three starts he needs to get back to throwing strike one and pounding that good four seam fast ball towards the top of his Zone Simeon with a bouncing ball to third Ramon Rus a former go Glover throws him out and a clean start to the game for Suarez four pitches to get a ground out in the air short center field that drops in base hit and blooped it into Center so he’s the first base runner tonight two Smith blooping ball off the knee for Ryan Mal Castle but he has no play for second so he’ll back up and run to first and make the play for Smith and a little C shot grounded the other way here Mato sweeps it up and there is no damage done Ma Scherzer his first start of the year he faced 16 batters he got 15 of them out career start number 450 second most among active in the next strikeout that he has he will sit alone in 11 all time there’s a bouncing ball hit to Second Simeon picks it to his left and tosses to First and that went well this one is popped up third Bas side Smith ranging way over might he have room he does and that one never in the zone so hurry walks Max delivers 10 oh that’s high in the air right field and even in this smaller ballpark that’s not going to carry Janowski makes the catch in foul ground this is electric stuff right here Joan Jet and Mr splash spash out the bird bath for an inning and she said I got some tips for Mr splash I said what do he tell you he said Don’t Spray them directly in the face I think it’s too late for that I think she got somebody in the right in the front row right away Yep this one gets popped up high into the air into very shallow right field low and Simeon are there Simeon takes charge and as he comes creeping back toward the dirt makes the catch a swing in a Miss strike three and he is just past Greg Maddox so has his spot all alone 11th on the all-time strikeout list did into the Gap it was kind of like one of those hard singles ball well struck out to right field heading toward the corner Janowski on the run into that corner and makes the catch will be Andrew kizner the Texas catcher leading off the third kizner takes a very high cutter out to left field out toward the birdbath the retired kizner this one on the ground and that’s through the right side base hit it’s another hit for leot his third hit of the series Simeon golfs a Fly ball to deep left field a long way back for cower nearly in the same spot there goes taras throw from McAn is not in time but off the but Taris was off the bag Taris doesn’t think so he’s adamit that he wants Texas to look at a challenge and Bruce Boi will oblig the tag is applied hands still on there H man whoa I think that’s about as as close as you can come to removing that hand from the back without actually doing it after review the play on the field is overturned the runner is safe 3-2 and the first swing and Miss of the game for Suarez leads to his first strike out grounded out to second base his first time he’s currently on a 34 game on base streight still the longest for any orial in 15 years and Henderson takes ball four the on base freak continues he’s reach base in 35 in a row onew to santand there and he got him swinging I was joking before the game that uh he was going to have to have an extra nasty Game Face to Face ma Scherzer this is a great game face off 10th pitch of the abbat and it’s high in the air short center field and taras has time to get to it the inning is done part of the Texas order Smith Garcia and lenford Smith sends a highfly ball in the right toward the wall santand Deere waiting jumping and making the catch get up there and get that thing Tony taters well he played that just as about as perfectly as you could play it Well Done by Anthony santand there ma Sherer who gave up just one hit and five innings on Sunday as allowed just one hit walk two Colton cower left-handed batter against Sherer and on the eighth pitch cower sends one to deep right field and Colton cower opens the scoring the rookie takes the future Hall of Famer out to right he does have the moves one nothing owes as cower makes it an even dozen on the year how strong is he huh that was a fast ball at 92 right down the middle and I tell you what he flat out covered that one cuz we are delighted as ever to have our friend Joan Jet back in the booth hi Joan hi you doing Kevin I’m great good to see you good to see you all right first pitch tonight here’s some advice from me which I hope you didn’t use and look at this that guy should have caught it on who is Wesley who caught your first pitch and where can we get that get up he’s at second base in scoring position for gunar Henderson right field rip gunar Henderson run run got to run Mato around third the throw is way way offline and gunar is going to take second an RBI for gunner Henderson scoring Jorge Mato Joan Jet on the mic Orioles lead at two nothing 32 popped up by Smith Third Base Rus makes a play W the night is complete for Albert TZ and what a night it was tonight the last three orial starters Rodriguez Burns and Canó have all made walkfree starts 20 Innings three runs no walks the last three games bottom half of the sixth inning Rangers Trail two to nothing Max sherzer is back out here for single tallies in the fourth and fifth and here’s a ground ball to the left of Smith Josh is up with it bobbles it a bit but straightens and throws and takes care of Ryan mountcastle it looks like that’s going to be it for him but he’s done a really good job tonight against a really good offense Canó wanted to take a little walk and now his 3-1 pitch that’s low Ball Four he has put Garcia aboard 3-0 and that’s Ball Four backto back walks to start the seventh inning and the Rangers maybe building their biggest opportunity of the night kog got the 2-1 pitch that’s Line pass third base hit Garcia will stop it third so the bases are loaded he’s been outstanding stranding Runners this year only three out of 18 have scored against him but he inherits three here one out base is full Jaheim has picked up a bat and he’ll pinch it and they’re two for 26 on the fast ball Bases Loaded one out you hop in the ball game huge strike out for Jacob web so two out bases remain loaded Rangers trailing by two leote one for two that’s ball four and a run scores Bas has loaded walk to Taris it’s a 2-1 game and Simeon now with a chance to really deliver another 2-2 grounded over to third good pick by Ramon sets his feet and fires a strike a tangled web escaped with only one run allowed look at who’s joined the bird David fromin is part of the country boy tonight what a night Joe Jen on the bird bath David Rubenstein on The Dugout a good time at Oral park yet again three-oh pitch and that one misses as well a four pitch walk won’t get the chance here that’s Ball Four puts a tying run though in scoring position another Rangers walk so now a two in on Robbie Gman will be summoned Off the Bench he will hit for low fast ball did he go yes he did Gman Strikes Out Swinging and Perez escapes the jam Craig Kimbrell 17 saves they’ve all been multi-run game so looking for his first one-run save of the Season tonight save 18 of the year and it would be 435 in the career that one’s a fast ball no doubt about it and he’s KS out High blew him away 93 the last six outs Craig Kell’s recorded have been strikeouts now the 2-2 a ground ball pulled over to Mount Castle at First Hill take it himself it’s an Orioles winner they start the second half the same way they started and ended the first half once more in the win Colum [Music]

  1. Always fun to watch the Milkman deliver the long ball! And shoutout to my Rangers fan friend from San Antonio who owes me a 6 pack thanks to Cardiac Craig saving the game!

    MAGIC!! MAGIC!! MAGIC!! MAGIC!!

  2. We are going to burn out Webb while Cano's WHIP approache 1.5. Had a he'll of a lot of nerve with the stare down down after the one out he got after 2 walks and a hit to load the basees with no outs

    We got lucky with Perez

  3. Nice pitchers game. Not even the O's best pitcher, but a stressful game is a W. Strike Zone was very small too. The late inning calls seemed to only go for Texas. IMO

  4. Hopefully this is the start of a good winning streak after that terrible losing streak.

Getting the O's back to like 8-2 in 10 games like we've been almost all year.

  5. Orioles Fans… I saw some of you complaining about the 'weak' lineup that Hyde put out on the field for this one. Think more like a real fan and less like a pseudo fan. I didn't just jump on the bandwagon; I've been an O's fan since 1970 (a kid and a Mets fan from Long Island in 1969 who watched the series in 70 and remembered the Os players. They became my team). Players can't just sit on the bench and starters need to rest. The days of Cal Ripken are gone. But there is also the looming trade date. The Os have a lot of talent that sits or is even in the minors who would head off to other teams and start right away as their best players. Elias brought you this far, and my guess he has a plan. It is one studied with metrics that you don't have and he is going to hold close to the vest. That talent needs showcasing as much as the Oriole stars. You'll want a move at the deadline, and you need to not think you are outsmarting an obvious master. No one gets a wall pushed back that seems like it is going to lower power number and ends up leading the league in HRs over power teams like the Yankees. But look at the stats.

I come here to watch these summaries every morning after listening to the great streams by @Orioles Birdwatcher . You can't watch the game or listen in, give it a try! A different kind of coverage. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc_20HIfC6hWfkS_IAs2QFw/addons
