Just saw that Juan Marichal is 86 years old, the same age as Cepeda. Please no 😔
McCovey, Gaylord Perry, Mays and Cepeda died within 6 years of each other. The last 3 within about a year and a half of each other, the last 2 within 10 days. That’s rough 😔
At least they all lived long full lives. McCovey was the youngest at 80. Then Perry was 84. Cepeda was 86 and of course Mays was 93
Add Wisely to the “Giants we got for nothing” group. We traded Trevor Rosenthal (had him for a month) for Tristan Peters who was then traded for Wisely.
Super excited to see where his career goes, especially since he can play short and center. I’m looking forward to this stretch where he should a ton of starts at 2nd for a bit.
