I'm obviously a massive advocate for this kid, but last night when he stretched the single into a double when the CF was sleeping, it reminded me of an exciting play from Spring Training and when I matched them up, it was even more glorious.
Glad to see him hitting, being aggressive, locking in his secondary leads, and reading the ball well off the catcher / backstop. Hopefully this is just the beginning!! Go get 'em, kid.
Him scoring here in the 8th I think gives Topper the confidence to send Sanchez back out to finish the game and secure the shutout. 🤟

I like the way he turned it on to fake out the center fielder after jogging to first seemingly then explodes to second! More please.
