I don’t think it’s that unreasonable of a take to say that Jacob trumba would be a player on this team I mean for as bad as he was is he better than Petri is he better than Hall I’d probably say so but the magnitude as to how much better he is I don’t really know how much that is you need to believe in to fully think that this is a good idea oh man this is going to be bad isn’t it I mean look I don’t want to say I’m D in the eer plan and I don’t want to say that there is a reasonable explanation for everything that’s going on but we got to wait and see we got to wait and see I saw the comments on the last video too I mean when we talked about the Wallman trade seems like a lot of us in the comment section were just kind of rationalizing it by saying okay we just don’t know what’s going on Stevie WI right like we had seen the stuff yesterday that the rumors of Stam Coast to Detroit are heating up right so maybe it’s not just a Jacob trouba maybe it’s somebody else maybe there also is good reason to believe that there are extra names that could be tossed Into The Fray and it’s not as bad as isolating it out and saying yeah Jacob trouba to the Red Wings this is growing he trade away wman you get trouba a guy that will take away minutes from cider and I don’t know also contribute some to ensive mistakes alongside of Justin Hall and Jeff Petri except this time the guy   4. I wouldn’t be jumping for joy over this trade… but it also wouldn’t be the worst thing. He could play top 4 with Pk minutes and be a physical force that Detroit didn’t have last year. You’re not finding a player equal to Trouba on the open market for 5.5m for 2 years. We just can’t give up much to get him. This trade for the wings has to be more of doing the rangers a favor like the sharks getting Walman

  11. We got plenty of defensive players coming up so getting rid of walman was smart. We need goal scorers and playmakers. Thats what we dont have in the minors.

  12. Man, I get it. A guy playing on a messed up ankle with a chunk missing and playing like absolute dog 💩 is the lasting impression.
    But, as a Rangers fan, I'll tell you the only reason I'm happy is the shedding of the salary. Trouba is not only the Captain, but he is a force on the ice where players need to keep their heads on a swivel, blocks a 💩 -ton of shots and throws hands when needed. Trouba at $5.5M a year is a good deal. At the $8M we signed him for, it's a tad high. If this goes through, come back to this comment in a year. I bet there is more praise than complaints in Detroit 🤷

  13. The trade should be Jacob and kakko which is around 10 million we would acquire and trade Andrew Copp and Jonatan Berggren which around 6 million. We get a right handed shot defender and only 2 years left while we get rid of 5.3 million and 3 years who might rebound in NY.

  15. This trade would be necessary, to say the least. Trouba is a physical presence that we're sorely lacking. Yes, I know he isn't an elite player but make that deal, Stevie.

  16. First of all, I am NOT a Trouba fan. He’s borderline dirty, in the box too much… that being said, as a Red Wings fan, the biggest things we were collectively whining about and most outspoken about was the need for better defense, the need for more toughness, and finally how bad we needed a solid defensive right-side D. I don’t want to see this happen, but I mean… if Stevie Y listens to fans even a little… we did this to ourselves.

  17. We need some sandpaper on this team. I wouldnt mind this trade as long as we dont give up anything ridiculous and either Holl or Petry is included in the deal.

  21. Trouba was available and we didn't get him then. No way we should trade for him now. Unless we get him for a song then it is a mistake to give up assets with Walman and then give up assets for Trouba years past his prime.
