Not on Herb…and Dejounte!!!
Can’t believe some wanted Trae Young instead of him. If Willie can tap back into his defensive potential next year with Herb that shit could be beautiful
The key is to start them side by side. Starting Murray alongside CJ puts Murray in the same situation he was with Trae… guarding wings that might be taller and/or heavier than him. Murray still plays good defense on guys his size and smaller which he can concentrate on if Herb is in the backcourt with him.
CJ needs to be the second unit captain, but is he willing to come off the bench? It’s hard to ask the NBPA president who has 10 straight years of averaging 20ppg to come off the bench. Hopefully, it’s something Willie and Griffin are capable of handling.
DJM, Herb, Trey, Zion, and whoever we can get at the 5 sounds like a good starting lineup to hitting 50+ wins.
