Knicks had to know going into Bridges trade they’d need to modify things by either adding another player in a straightforward way by reworking Bridges or with a more complicated move outside trade. Right now, it looks like Bridges trade will include “a player to be named later.”

McBride makes too much sense. If I’m the Knicks I do whatever it takes to make it Sims. They are already getting roasted for overpaying.
McBride is the only player here who would not only make sense but would be beneficial to us imo

McBride averaged 16.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals on 45/41/85 in games where he played 25+ minutes last season.
Context – A lot of these games are when Knicks had extremely limited depth and he played drastic 40+ minutes but still
A 23 year old doing that on a top 2 seed when asked to step up is impressive. IMO we need as many 22 to 25 year olds that are viewed as expendable this season to fill out roster.
