STATE YOUR CASE: What should the Flames do this offseason?

  1. Pretty sure they are 1 or 2 trades away from fully starting a rebuild. The ’23-’24 season was a complete bust. The city is getting a new arena. I mean if you want to attract players best time is to start that rebuild now and when they get a new arena that would be pretty sweet as well.

  2. Don’t sign any stupid contacts in free agency. Use their cap space as a asset to take on bad contracts from other teams. Stack up picks/Prospects.
    Profit

  3. The opposite of whatever the hell they’ve been doing.

They aren’t good enough to make the playoffs but not bad enough to get high picks in the draft. They need to decide if they want to get competitive or blow it up and rebuild, whether it’s a soft or a total one. Seems like they’re trending more towards the latter, but they won’t blow it up enough to actually accomplish what they want. If I’m the flames, my key word is aggression. Whether they’re going to be aggressive in signing free agents and adding talent or being aggressive in offloading contracts for as much value as they can get, they need to go into this offseason with a clear plan and execute it.

  4. Try to compete and win regardless of what happens with the roster or how bad they look. I’m just into looking at who puts in the effort when we’re down.

  5. Drop everyone, their team sucks and all they cared about the last 3 months was the oilers. We live in there heads rent free and they couldn’t draft their golden boy.

    Poverty franchise thick and through

  6. Trade Kadri to CO for about 10 bucks.

I’m completely impartial btw, no skin in the game.

  7. War on Utah. Full on, burn it to the ground. Make Calgary earn the flames name

  8. Burn it all down. Trade Kadri. Try to make Calgary a better city to live in. Idk. Im crying

  9. Stop crying about the oilers. I got banned from their sun because it was sad seeing all posts being about how the oilers are better and the flames won’t make the playoffs for 10 years seeing as how they just started another rebuil.
