Jays offence since May 18th (Springer’s removal from the leadoff spot )

On May 18th the Jays had the third worst ranked team offense . That's when we finally saw some significant changes made to the lineup that John rolled out every day including the removal of Springer from the leadoff spot . Since that day the Jays have the 10th best O in the majors .

  1. Springer got promoted back to the 4th spot on June 22nd, since then the Jays have the 2nd best offense in baseball (46 runs)

These numbers are mostly being held up by the recent hot stretch.

As people were saying months ago, for this team to do well, they need to get production out of Bo, Springer and Turner. There isn’t another path to a good offense

  2. 12th best team offensively in that stretch with a 108 wRC+.

The team has the 3rd lowest strikeout percentage and the 7th highest walk percentage so they’re getting on base and not really striking out but the power is still low.

  3. The fact that it took until May 18th speaks volumes about the ineptitude of the on field management of this team. They went 30 straight games without scoring a run in the first inning. That should have been a clue that the top three batters in your line up aren’t producing and the line up needs to be adjusted.
