[Sidery] The Warriors will not re-sign Klay Thompson, per @wojespn

Thompson is officially moving on from Golden State as both sides work to make a sign-and-trade happen.

So it seems that now it's down to the Lakers or Mavs for what team he'll be on next season. Orlando was always rumoured was a team but with them in the PG mix, it doesn't seem that they're in on Klay. The Lakers don't have much to offer in a S & T but the Mavs have Josh Green. That could be a a fit going forward.

  17. Josh green for klay sign and trade kinda makes sense for both sides imo, mavs need a win now sharpshooter and warriors need to keep bolstering their young core

  43. If the Mavs can get him with just Green and Prosper or something like that it would be pretty amazing. I’m sure a three team trade would require the Mavs sending Hardy and Exum somewhere and them provide Warriors with a first round pick which doesn’t seem worth it imo. Can almost guarantee if we get Klay we lose Exum and or Hardy which would destroy our ball handler depth.

  44. I don’t think Klay is a good fit for the Mavs, at least not starting. I’d much rather have DJJ starting at the 3 for his POA defense, losing that would be worse for the Mavs than gaining the 3pt threat Klay would bring.

    Klay on the Lakers is intriguing. Who could they realistically offer in a S&T deal?

  46. according to the NYT, klay “didn’t love the national attention on his occasional struggles” . lakers should be a lot of fun

  47. I hope he doesn’t come to the Lakers, except if he costs 15m or less. He’s not worth more than D’lo, he aint that guy anymore

  50. Klay could have had a perfect ending but thought he is still worth 40 a year. Smh.
