[Applause] well that you know our first pick yesterday uh I know everybody says it all the time but uh we had him higher on our on our uh draft list than than where we took him so um for him to be sitting there we uh uh we love that pick the skill level’s High um he’s a big kit too so um he’s a a really a pure shooter and uh um you know again excited to uh to get him uh the second kid today uh in the fifth round moonan I’m not even going to try to do that first name so that’ll be up to you Mike um he’s a big strong kid and and uh he yeah defenseman left defenseman he gets around the ice really really well um he’s more of like a simple first pass kind of guy um I guess I class f as like a stay-at-home defenseman um and then uh with our last pick was uh Samuelson and his uh I don’t know if you remember Michael Samuelson that’s his boy so um Rickard really uh loved that pick especially in the seventh round where we took him uh he said he’s really a a late bloomer and um sometimes over there that’s uh it seems to happen more frequently I think in Europe and um so he’s a late bloomer they have him listed at I think it was 5 8 and a half and he Rickard said he’s he’s 6o or maybe even bigger and Michael Samuelson if you remember he was like a 6’2 kind of guy uh he was a workout fanatic Michael we know him from our Detroit days so um if the kids uh anything like the dad in in the workout room um you know it could be a steal uh Jim was saying yesterday that there is a certain faith in the Finish players uh and I know I mean it’s it’s it’s hard to just categorize somebody and say that but there is a way of training people and a way of expectation with some of the fins that gives you that two-way type of Pock yeah for sure you know and we’ve had obviously have had uh some pretty good success there and really good examples yeah yeah and uh you know now these kids coming in uh they have somebody to look up to right off the bat and um you know they can follow them around the dressing room stuff like that a training camp so it’s uh um you know it’s going to be exciting I think for them to to join in organization that is uh a little bit fin heavy yes uh you guys had the fewest picks in this draft probably the fewest you’ve ever had how hard is that and then do you still think you can get something out of it yeah we we hope so you know sometimes you you have to give up things in order to to uh be successful with your big team during the season so um you know we sacrificed a little bit we moved up uh last year gave up a couple picks so it’s uh um it’s as a scout travel all year it is what it is like you say and uh we travel all year long you wish you had seven or or more picks every year but that’s just not the way it works and um you know so hopefully we made good with these three uh would say any of them be at development Camp we’re try actually trying to get uh Hamming will be there for sure cuz he was here uh the other two are back home uh so we’re going to be trying to contact them I think as as we speak and and try to get them over how important is that with European players to get them started at 18 seeing North American yeah yeah it’s good now I haven’t talked to Mahon I’m not sure how much uh hockey he’s played over in North America I know with some of the tournaments and stuff but um the other boy uh Samuelson I’m sure with Michael having played over here and he’s actually he’s coming over he wants to play in Green Bay next year and then go to school so he’s uh he’s going to go to US base School somewhere and uh start it off in Green Bay next year [Music] oh
