Big O – The Miami Dolphins Have Sacrificed Alot for Tua Tagovailoa

[Music] Ray says oh do you think the two a deal would have been done already if if his old agent Lee Steinberg instead of athletes first you know um when I this Tu deal um I don’t think that has really anything to do with it I think it’s more about the market started to getting a little crazy and the Dolphins are like yeah no they it can go crazy but we’re not going to go crazy and this is how they handle everything and you know the beauty of all of this is the the Dolphins are going to be criticized if they take the shrewd approach right then they’re going to be criticized if they pay him too much money then you’re going to criticize the Tua deal if it takes too long to sign or if he signs for too much money or if he wants too much money I mean it it it just seems to me like it’s a platform form for sports fans to get bitter about whatever they want to get bitter about you know and I I I I think I keep repeating myself in this sense you must look at their track record remember how oh they’re going to pay dvin cook and no they’re not they don’t do that kind of stuff and I explain to you who they pay and who they don’t pay and they continue to go about that but even if they’re going to pay they’re still going to pay at what they want to pay whatever they feel about this player and if they want to protect themselves I can’t blame them for that so I’m supposed to criticize the team for trying to make a deal that is smart for them protects them cap wise all that kind of stuff because maybe they want to make a deal where they still want to have some flexibility and maybe the Tua Camp is asking for a little too much money and maybe they paid Trevor Lawrence too much money and if the Market’s the market hey well that’s fine then we’ll stand where we’re at and if you want to take a risk with your durability on this issue then you go ahead and take a risk but we took a risk on your durability when we drafted you you see what I’m saying it it just there’s an argument and a discussion and a reason for everybody to stand where they’re at but it gives all of you a reason to complain about either side either you dislike that Tua has taking a Hardline stance right or you’re going to complain about the money he eventually gets which one is it I don’t know you know and so I I’m not in a way when I said hey they must be close right because they’re cutting all these deals they must have something I was wrong maybe they they they thought they had something but then these deals with Trevor Lawrence got it out of control and they were like now well now now we want this and they’re like yeah no no we’re we’re trying to build a team around this is what we’re going to do so we’ll find out we’ll see what happens I think in the end two assigns the deal at what point I don’t know what’s he going to do hold out oh please he’s not going to hold out he can’t afford to hold out he’s under contract and if he ever wants to get that big money he will have to continue to play to completely convince everybody because if you want the Dolphins to just give you the blank check You’re Gonna Go you haven’t played that kind of football you know there’s only one guy that plays that kind of football and he’s in Kansas City outside of that we can have a discussion with every other quarterback in the league yes sir no I was going to ask you you know you always said because of all the signings you felt that they were close to yeah man could it be just the Dolphins know the number they want to pay for the quarterback so they know what they want to pay so that’s why they were going around and paying everybody else because they have a number that this is what we’re paying yes now it’s just getting to that number with Tua right that’s what it is that’s how it noes with them they’re not they’re they’re just this is not Mike tanon bomb this is not Dave onstead I’m sorry that’s not what you’re you’re this is not the front office that you used to have that would give crazy ass deals to players and you’re like what the really yeah and domicans Sue like what the hell is that that offensive lineman from Green Bay that they gave him that contract and he was injured right away with the ankle I mean just stupid that they would do on a consistent basis those days are done bro and even if you’re a good player but you want great money no sorry dude no we appreciate everything you did Christian Wilkins you’re not a pass rusher we don’t believe it and they and they cut and they cut ties they’re willing to make the tough decisions and they’re willing to also stand their ground and and by the way they’ve done a lot of sacrificing for Tua so if I want to make a case for the front office well they drafted you off a hip injury and took a chance on you they changed the coach that was against you after they realized there was no way to work this out they got a coach that would understand your skill set they’re building exactly the team around you they’ve put you in the MVP conversation the last two years so they’ve given you the tools to have success they’ll continue to improve them it’s up to you to make it to make it happen and he does because he’s got a great skill set but it’s kind of a teamwork thing and the Dolphins have done their job they they’ve sacrificed a lot bro they’ve risked a lot so I get it if they want to take a little bit of a Hardline stance here and in the end Tua is not going anywhere dude he’s under contract and they can tag him and tag him and he ain’t going anywhere and I’ve seen all of this happen before and then they sign a contract and everything everything is beautiful again so I I’m I’m not going to lose any sleep here Tua needs to play he has no Choice he needs to play the last thing he wants to do is stunt his growth because that ultimately will stop him from making the big money he wants to make down the line so to me this is just again a springboard for so many of you to complain about either or but you’re going to complain very few are going to say ah it’ll get done I’m not worried about it move on they got the whole team so what the quarterback’s not going to show up come on man come on give me a [Music] [Music] break this is the big old show [Music] this is the big old show [Music]

  1. What needs to happen is Grier needs to pay Tua Market Value. Period. The only people that won't like what Tua gets paid is the folks who thought he was a bust. Tua is going to play, he is going to then get paid. Dolphins are betting against their Top 5 Pick and their Top 5 pick is going to bet on himself. In the End, this is going to cost the Dolphins front office twice as much after this season. Tua hasn't been given all the tools he needs to succeed. He has one stud on his offensive line, The rest are just backups on any other team. we cant run the ball up the middle and we can't hold a passing block long enough to let any play develop. But Tua is so Elite, he is gifted the quickest release of any qb in the NFL he is also the most accurate passer in the NFL so he can anticipate timing routes better then any qb in the NFL and that's why Tua is a 10 game winner alone. The dolphins were gifted Tua in the draft. Because of his injury, he fell to us otherwise, he was going number 1 overall and Flores cost us that pick after grier tore down the core of the team to tank for the first pick. Joe burrow or Justin Herbert would've came off 2nd and 3rd. If I'm Tua, I'm playing out my 5th year option, I'll end up playing on a franchise tag the following year but then…. I'm going to sign with a Team who wants me and they will show me the money. In the meantime, all I'm going to do is win 🏆

  2. I always look at the cup half full .And he's holding out for the perfect contract. because he knows he's worth it. he knows he has the talent and he can lead Miami in the future this is his confidence and that's what I like

  3. Basic Math Fact

    In. 2 -3 Seasons ?

    1) Franchise QB ‘s will command a market value of 60-75 million per season

    2) Tua’s deal will be an abject Bargain

Dolphins judicious in NOT 💪 signing Wilkins and Hunt . Calais perfect stop gap for Wilkins . In Fact his PFF rating his higher than Wilkins . HUNT will be a loss . Offensive skill group Improved .
Who knows they may pick up a legit RG .

Long Term suffering old head ( 55). This Tua Dolphins Team has a chance 🏆

Big O at our age well take it .

  4. Miami hasn't sacrificed anything for Tua. He came into the worst situation for a QB in league history while grabbing a career-threatening injury, then had back to back MVP-caliber seasons and Playoff-berths with a first-time head coach.

Tua's agent would have to be asking for something absurdly retarded to justify Grier being willing to restart the entire search for a QB, when they're never going to get better than a top 3-5 QB. And even then, Grier is being an idiot. Pay Tua $50m a year and realize that it's either a bargain going into the next few years, or that the NFL will do something about the Salary Cap in terms of quarterbacks.

  5. Players in Tua's situation don't have to hold out for a season. He could just hold out 3-4 games early in the season and watch how the team does with its backup QBs, then end his holdout. That approach earns most of his annual salary and puts pressure on the team. Not saying he should or would do that, but it wouldn't surprise if he did.

  6. Tua has sacrificed a lot for the dolphins. He kept his mouth shut and played a good soldier when the Dolphins risked his career with ultimate negligence in putting him back out there with a concussion vs Buffalo. Anybody with a half a brain knows he suffered a concussion right before the half. Not only does he QB the win, what do the dolphins do? They trot him back out there 4 days later on Thursday night, on turf!! Tua himself said he thought he threw the ball away. He had lapses and should not have played vs Cincy. Miami is a dumb F organization that literally threw this guy out there TWICE when any high school drop out could see that was medical negligence. And to add, the original concussion was a late hit! Tua actually got the ball away! But Milano took the flag for an illegal hit. If u use a brain, the dolphins are the ones that created the whole concussion issue. Tua suffered a one off, on a late hit. Just sit him the next week (which is the rule) and most likely he never would’ve got the second, third. Dumb a** Dolphins
