going to make a push for Kane we just went into the entire nitty-gritty of that and you know what I don’t want to throw away that commentary I feel like it was a pretty nice one so what I’m going to do is react to the patrian contract that is being handed out here by the Red Wings and then we will do a little retro perspective oh this is what we were talking about 10 minutes ago thing about Patrick Kan and the Canadians if that were to ever manifest and what that would look like because there were big conversations popping up from Frank SAR but for now Pier LeBron just tweeted out that Patrick Kane and the Red Wings are indeed closing on a one-year deal all we got to do is wait and see what the money is but Patty Kane returning to Detroit after Elliot fredman said that there was momentum that he would resign with mtown we got to keep it up baby Alex to bring at Patty Kane that connection is surviving for at the very least one extra year and I think the majority of wings fans are going to be happy about that it is interesting though how the contract is reportedly one year long there was an idea floating around saying that Kane wanted a three-year deal and there was concern about that because he’s 35 years old and how good is he going to be when he’s 38 etc etc but if it’s one year he’s already as good as he is right now pay that guy $1 million for all I care it’s just one year but of course the cheaper it is the more options Ste will have to go after other free agents and there still are the cider and Raymond contracts that need to get done we’re expecting maybe Bridge deals who really knows but hey if they have enough money left on the table after everybody signed is Steven Stamkos a possibility I mean the idea has been floated out there imagine Kane over to Montreal Canadians because when it comes to one of the main free agents to be with Detroit and this could very well change within the span of the next few hours here I’m taken kind of a risk by making this video when it comes to Patrick Kane there’s been a lot of panic in mtown hey this guy was good should they bring him back will they bring him back are they trying to bring him back please come back and it’s been an entire thing a lot of people speculating that Steve Eiserman is preparing to make a splash after the Jake wman trade we had seen a few days ago we also saw rumors linking Jacob trouba over to Detroit and apparently trouba himself the guy was very perturbed and shocked by that conversation that was going on who knows what Stevie y has up his sleeve but Patty Kane is the main free agent to be on Detroit whose services are going to be highly coveted around the NHL 35 years old who had just put up a 47o in 50 Game season with mtown especially coming off that surgery he had last summer it’s been a very good Revival for him and his career nobody is going to look at Patrick and worry about that surgery anymore he’s proven that he can play he can produce he can still contribute at a top level postsurgery so of course the Red Wings want to bring this guy back you consider the timeline you consider where the team is you consider the linemates you consider the chemistry you consider the success that happened with Kane in mtown points wise it’s a no-brainer right he’s a good player talented guy he wanted to come to Detroit and if the Red Wings are able to bring him back I think the majority of wings fans would be happy they’re are some that do criticize his lack of foot speed and his lack of defensive responsibility but then again it’s like Kane you know I don’t think he’s the guy that you bring in to do that you bring him in to score points and he did that so either way it’s been kind of a worry wart for a lot of Red Wings fans the past few weeks here as to whether or not Kane would resign but we had ourselves an article published by Frank sah on dailyfaceoff.com the top 75 ufas and the title of this top 5 ufa’s article from earlier today is this expect the Montreal Canadians to pitch Patrick Kane on Monday if he makes it to the market now I get it I’m going to say it right here I don’t know if this is going to be a shared opinion but I think this title is a little bit bait because a lot of people recognize hey Kane’s very talented he’s very respected around the NHL a lot of teams would want to have this kind of a guy of course the Canadians would make a pitch on Patrick Kane there are probably like 15 other teams that you could put in the title of this article that would be linked to Kane but of course you know Montreal is one of the most hot fan bases in the NHL especially nowadays considering they just drafted demidov also the fact that we haven’t really seen anything talking about Montreal and cane in the past this makes it interesting because now it’s like oh now they’re in the conversation too let’s read the little excerpt that Sarah valy writes about Patrick Kane and the Habs the rest of the league is salivating to see whether the players David Pon Shane goas bear and Patrick Kane make it to the market that means we could be in for some surprises while it’s believed the Red Wings and Cane found some traction on Sunday sources indicate the Montreal Canadians are one of the teams preparing for a pitch for Patrick Kane on Monday should he navigate free agency for the second time in one year for a third original six te and if you wanted to try and answer these questions I’ll say this I’m not going to speak for Patrick Kane as to whether or not he’d want to play in Canada like that’s a completely personal thing but we know Kan likes the spotlight right each of these original six teams have a spotlight and you could say that some are a lot more brighter than others not to disrespect Detroit or Chicago or anything but there’s something about the Bell Center especially if Montreal adopts you as one of their own for a short period of time while you’re playing for their hockey team I’m not even talking about anybody who plays for the Canadians I’m talking about guys that Montreal just absolutely flocks to as a city they Embrace Citywide with open arms I’m talking about the guys like Cole Coffield when that guy scores a goal at the Bell Center it is Electric in recent years I’d say Elia Kovalchuk was one of those guys you know not just like regular all Canadian stars but guys who have Swagger and who bring that X Factor to the ice you can even say Ivan demidov in this most recent draft the moment demidov scores his first goal in the Bell Center with all that buildup that hypee and his own Swagger he said that he Compares his game to Jack Hughes and KIRO capriso and kucherov what’s there not to be excited for if that guy scores his first goal at the Bell Center the roof is going to explode Patrick Kane has an opportunity here if he wanted to be a part of that if he wants to to be in that sort of a spotlight once more to go over to Montreal and again I’m not saying that Detroit didn’t love this guy I’m not saying that Detroit didn’t Shear their butts off whenever Kane scored beautiful goals but Montreal man French speaking Canada it’s a different sort of environment from anywhere else and if Kane wants to go out there and maybe form a new connection with a guy like Cole Coffield let’s see if we can get some Kane to Coffield one-timers American Sniper playmaker combo plays on the power play or something like that I think that’s pretty interesting of course it kind of rounds out the rest of the top six if you wanted to have Coffield lvovsky Suzuki and then have doc with Kane former teammates with Alex new hook on the other Wing that sounds like a very interesting way to navigate this offseason but Frank saave is just one NHL Insider and this is
